If I buy a mac air, can I copy all of my music and photos from my iPhone, rather than my old laptop?

Basically i'd like to buy myself a new mac air, with the intention of selling my current laptop before hand. I'm getting rid of everything on this current laptop, however will I need to wait to transfer the music? Or will it take all of the itunes and other information from my iPhone and store it automatically?

Answer
In my opinion, your best bet to get ALL your music is to keep your older laptop and transfer from it.
The reason being is any music NOT purchased (should there be alot) from iTunes will not be available for download from iTunes. See the link below and notice the word "purchases".
I've seen multiple 3rd party apps suggested to transfer from iPhones to Mac and you might try one, however in my opinion the less 3rd party apps on a Mac the more you can be assured of your privacy. If anything 3rd party apps should be purchased via the Apple App store so you might be assured that privacy standards are meeting Apple's standards.

Can someone who shares the same iTunes account as me see my pictures in Photo Vault?

My brother and I share an iTunes account. Whenever he downloads an app it automatically downloads to my phone as well. & the same thing happens when I download an app it downloads on his phone too. I downloaded the app Photo Vault on my phone so it went to his too. I was wondering if he could see my pictures I download in there?

Answer
most likely, because since your using the same account whatever you can see when you get on he can see and i think you should just get separate accounts. i had the same problem when i let some friends use my account just to download some free apps and things went bad when they started to buy music and all there music and items were syncing onto my iPhone trust me it gets really annoying when your sharing. plus you don't have any privacy because your brother is able to see what music and apps and things you have so for privacy reasons best idea is to go with separate accounts if you can.
