Should I get an iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy S4?

newGuy

I'm eligible for an upgrade, but I'm stuck to which phone I should get. I currently own an iPhone 4, and my only dislike about it is the outdated 3G. I've heard good things about the Galaxy S4, and the woman at the AT&T store told me it's much better than the iPhone if you like to do more than talk and email, but the menus are harder to get used to than an iPhone's. But, I've become so accustomed to the iOS software, iMessage and apps, that it would be hard to switch to Android software.

I like to download games and emulators, watch videos, listen to music, and text if that helps any.

Answer
This is why I believe that the Samsung Galaxy S4 is better than the iPhone 5
1. It is quicker (1.9 quad core processor/ 1.6ghz Octa core vs 1.3 dual core processor)
2. Microsd- you can expand the memory with a 64gb microsd. This a cheaper way to expand your memory and you can have a 16 gb S4 and still have more storage than iphone 5 if you get a 64gb microsd.
3. USB OTG- you can read usb keys no problem with an adapter so you can check out whats on them so you don't have to put your computer on.
4. Microusb charger- Better than the lighting connector as you can get them http://easi.ly and cheaply but also you might have it from other devices as it is becoming standard for smartphones to use microusb chargers.
5. Removable battery- This means you can replace the battery if you run out of charge when you are around unlike the iphone 5 which you have to charge or bring an external charger and charge it from there, however this is an awkward way of charging your phone. Also the removable battery can help you prevent water damage as you can remove the battery if it falls in water, thus reducing the chances of water damage.
6. NFC- Want to transfer a music album quicker than bluetooth, well now you can with NFC. You can also use Tectiles 2 to make your life easier
7. Customizable- Change launcher(Are you bored, get a new launcher that suits you and your personality), custom ROM your phone and have access to apps specifically made for rooted devices directly on the play store. You control the device so that it suits you.
8. Dropbox- Love cloud storage well Samsung is offering 50gb free of charge to S3 owners for 2 years on Dropbox. Backup music, video, photos(this can be done automatically), documents etc. Who doesnât want this amount of free cloud storage?(You have to complete a certain amount of steps to get the free storage but none requires any credit card details or anything to complicated) (N.B Not everyone will be offered this bonus as carriers have been known to have stopped Samsung from offering this to customers)
9. Screen- Itâs bigger but not to big. It has 441ppi vs iPhone5âs 326ppi plus the Amoled screen creates beautiful colors.
I also found no problems when using one hand, and I have medium hands if not small hands.
10. LED indicator- A small LED on the top of your device shows what notifications you got by distinguishing them with colours(For example blue for email, green for charged) This means you can see what the notification was about without putting your screen on. It is extremely useful feature for those than hate wasting time.
11. Android features-Widgets, live wallpapers, Google Now and all the beauty of android, widgets on the lockscreen etc
12. Samsung added features
a. Smartstay- won't turn the screen off if you are still looking at it.
b. Smartpause- pauses a video when you turn around and turns it back on when you turn back
c. Eye controlled webpage scrolling
d. Airview- check link to learn more http://www.phonearena.com/news/Samsung-Galaxy-S-4-display-Air-View-and-Air-Gesture-demoed-on-video_id40881
e. Infrared TV remote
f. External temperature and humidity sensors
g. Use the phone while using gloves
h. S Health- useful for health enthusiasts
i. S Translator- itâs all in the name a translator
j. Blocking Mode- activate it to block things like calls, notifications, messages, LED indicator etc
k. Power Saving Mode- Can be used to save power by limiting the processor speeds, turning of Haptic feedback, using less power for the screen and changing the color in the stock browser and email app
l. Home screen modes- for beginners it makes the home screen setup easier
m. Etc- I could go on but check the link to see even more features http://www.phonearena.com/news/Samsung-Galaxy-S4-10-exclusive-or-little-known-features-review_id41541
13. Camera- It has a 13mp camera vs iPhone 5âs 8mp. It has more features than than the iPhoneâs camera which makes it even better.
a. Dual shot- take photos from both cameras so that you can include the photographer in a photo
b. Photo with audio message- record a message before or after a photo to add to a photo
c. Eraser shot- can remove unwanted moving content
d. Drama shot- takes pictures of a moving object and puts the moving object through the whole picture
e. More but those are the best
14. Multitasking- watch videos while online, write an email while watching a video, send a message while surfing the web, you can split the screen in two so you can multitask without a bother, this cannot be done on the iPhone 5.
15. Durability- The S4 does not suffer from scratches like the iphone 5 where the back of the phone is aluminium and scratches really easy, the S4 does not suffer this fate.

For 5 more reasons check this link https://plus.google.com/u/0/101311389110168438082/posts/JJqgafyVSYV

Hope this helped
Enjoy your new phone (no matter which one it is)

Necessary skills to learn when getting into the internet marketing business?

iphone photo altering apps on Screenshot of the iSites Application Design tool
iphone photo altering apps image

.

I've been thinking of doing some type of businesses based on the internet, such a hosting service, but I'm not sure what skills I need.

Does it help or is it a must to learn at least a moderate level of C++, html, etc? It seems it would be, but I'd like the opinion of experienced people here so that I can be more prepared. I'm a complete at this.

And thanks in advance.

Answer
First pay no attention to the first 2 answers because those are obviously people who are just trying to spam Yahoo answers to make them self money.

Hopefully I can answer your questions since I've been in this field for a while.
Internet marketing isn't as easy as people or late night tv commercials make it out to be. If it was, then everyone would be doing it and be rich right?

So lets get to the basic skills you need. Depending on what you want to do is what will dictate what skill set you want to have. Of course the more skills you have the better.
Programming languages such as C++, C# or .net are only needed if you are intending to build programs to sale on the internet or build giant social networking sites. Not really internet marketing. If you want to get into hosting or security then a solid UNIX/Linux and C++ background is what you need.
If you want to get into building mobile apps for phones then Java will be your best bet because most every system can run Java and its pretty easy to learn. Android is growing fast and Objective C is good only for iPhones.

Now for internet marketing specifically. If you are going to build a site from scratch or use a template then you need to have a working knowledge of HTML, XHTML, and CSS. If you are planning on using blogging software like Wordpress or Blogger, then HTML, CSS and PHP are what you will need to know. Being a pro at it isn't necessary but having a solid understanding and being able to read and understand the code is a great help when trouble shooting sites. And trust me, you will trouble shoot often.

Additional skills to be familiar with is photo editing software like Photoshop or Paint.net. Being able to take, create and alter your own images will help a lot with saving time and money when you can do everything yourself.
The last skill/tool that you will need is being able to write. Write unique, original and appealing content and write often to be able to gain a readership or being able to sale your product.

Hopefully this is gives you a good idea as to how to get started. There is a tone of information on the net so always keep reading and learning. Soon you will be able to filter out what is real and what is useless.

Is my macbook broken or should I upgrade my RAM?

Cosmo

10 months ago I received a late 2011 13" macbook pro, i7, 4gb RAM and 750gb hard drive. Ever since I started using my laptop it has been slow and laggy. I have the app Freememory and I rarely have more than 1gb free of 4 gb. I never run more than three apps at a time because it becomes unbearable, usually I only have safari running. I always quit apps I'm not using. I have final cut pro, appature, pages, keynote geek tool and stuff. Everyday I deal with the beach ball, or ball of death etc. Most of the time I have to force quit apps. Apps take sometimes longer than ten bounces to open, apps like mail and iTunes. I don't try to do everything very fast, I just let it sort itself out usually.
Every time I use my computer it has a breakdown where the screen starts flickering or occasionally green squares and pixels appear on the screen.
My computer always takes about 10 secs after I open it to start working.
Despite all this I have only maybe once or twice had apps crash, and I don't think my computer itself has ever crashed.
I am planning to put in 16gb of ram because I can't go on like this, I do video editing, music engineering, photo editing, movie ripping and photoshop.
I have apple care protection plan on my laptop.
Is there anything I can do or shall I talk to apple?

Answer
"video editing, music engineering, photo editing, movie ripping and photoshop"

I am concerned that you are using a large amount of memory and processing power. FreeBSD (the root of MacOS) and other Unix OSs like it, are very capable at sharing processing power and memory between applications. However, in loaded conditions, as you are describing, you can have some serious issues.

You can try a few diagnostics to get a feel for things. If you are comfortable at the prompt, tools like "top" and "procrank" can tell you which applications are using a lot of memory.

But the best choice is this: completely reboot the machine, and then see how it responds, without doing any of the other apps (video editing, music engineering). Is safari responsive under those conditions?

Try to determine if the apps run at powerup. Are they already taking up your memory as soon as they load?

This can lead you to the answer... which I may be able to guide you towards, below.

1) If the device is sluggish after a full reset, but the apps that you are using are NOT preloaded, then there is a serious problem with the machin.
2) if the device is sluggish after a full reset, but the apps ARE being preloaded to some degree, then yes memory can help.
3) if the device is very fast after a full reset, but then after using a few of your key applications it becomes sluggish again then yes, memory can help.

Hope that helps. I've worked with systems that operate under high load, and it is not fun. Memory CAN help, but there are also some applications that will take as much memory as you can give. If you determine that you need memory, and go that route, only to find that now with 10 Gigs of RAM you are still losing your memory, you need to do a better job of finding out WHICH applications are taking the memory, and switching vendors for those apps.

Good Luck!

Is Rapidweaver a good program to use to make a website?

sdn90036

Please share your opinion of Rapidweaver.

Thank you for your assistance.

Answer
Its better than wordpress !

Thanks to Realmac Software's RapidWeaver 4.0, you won't need a master of fine arts degree with a minor in computer programming to build a Web site that will do your content proud. RapidWeaver is an ideal tool for Internet extroverts and home-based businesses that want to hang a full-featured and professional-looking shingle out on the Web, without the expense and learning curve of Adobe's pro apps or the headache of hand-coding and CSS.Product:

Does RapidWeaver live up to its name? Let's put it this way: Within an hour of installing the software, I posted a pretty darn handsome personal Web site, complete with a photo album and a podcast I had that needed a good home, plus file sharing, a video gallery, an RSS feed, a feedback form, and the beginnings of a blog.

RapidWeaver's interface is clean, colorful, and intuitive. Creating an HTML photo gallery or Flash slideshow couldn't be easier, thanks to the program's iPhoto integration. If you can pull together a holiday card in iPhoto, you'll have no problem dragging and dropping your way to a Web site in a single evening.

RapidWeaver really excels in its use of themes or templates. My biggest paranoia about template-based design programs is that eventually every Web site starts to look the same. (Just look at how those three-dollar pumpkin-carving kits homogenized Halloween jack-o-lanterns.) But thanks to RapidWeaver's open architecture, which encourages designers to create new themes, that's not much of an issue. At present, there are hundreds of third-party themes available; most are free or can be purchased for under $20. If you're frustrated by the creative constraints and rigid templates of iWeb, but you still want the speed and ease of a template-based program, RapidWeaver might be for you.

Program workflow is simple. Starting in Edit mode, just click the Add Page button, and paste or type your text into a blank white field with the aid of standard word processing formatting tools. Drag in your images, set text wrapping, and add links. Then, switch to Preview mode for the real fun, and instantly toggle among variations of your page within 40 provided themes. Many themes offer variations that allow you to further tailor your theme's styles, font families, backgrounds, and so forth-all while maintaining a consistent overall look and feel.

Of course, if you're so inclined, you can root around in the CSS code and customize your own themes. But the great thing about RapidWeaver is that you don't have to. After all, that's time you can devote to creating killer content and sleeping late.

RapidWeaver is also a capable blogging tool, with all the requisite auto-archiving and RSS capabilities. One element that might turn off some users, however, is that to enable commenting-the heart of social media-you have to register with, Haloscan, an external commenting service. Yes, it works. Yes, it's free. But when you have such an impressive Swiss Army knife of a program as RapidWeaver, it's frustrating to have to carry a separate corkscrew in your back pocket.

RapidWeaver 4.0's use of themes makes giving your entire Web site a facelift quick and easy.

Publishing via both .Mac (soon to be renamed MobileMe) and FTP was straightforward and fairly speedy. I did notice that the Smart Publishing feature, which publishes only changed pages, occasionally missed a few. But all I had to do was select the Re-Publish All Files command and the issue was solved.

For Leopard compatibility, users of previous versions will need to upgrade to Version 4.0. Thankfully, the $30 upgrade (free to Version 3.6 users) also provides four new themes, Google Analytics support to better help you understand who is visiting your Web site, and the ability to add customized WebClips icons-so bookmarks to your site will look cool on your iPhone.

Answer
Philadelphia!

Home of Liberty to the united states, Philadelphia is an amazingly iconic American city, from the Liberty Bell to Independence Hall!

1.) http://papiblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Day-42-41.jpg
This image is the infamous liberty bell, first rung when the declaration of independence was signed. It has been used as iconic images for historical movements throughout history, nominally by Martin Luther King Jr and The North during the civil war. You can see the Independence hall standing proudly behind.

2.) http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/3323/philly09171905n1asv2.jpg
This old photo is an amazing view of the Philadelphia skyline. It provides an amazing view of William Penn's statue on top of city hall. The iconic image provides a great view of what Philly was like during the Industrial Revolution.

3.) http://www.soaphia.com/philly-skyline.jpg
Providing an amazing view of the Art Museum and the modern Philadelphia skyline, this image really defines how Philly has evolved from old time colony to one of the most influential cities of the United States.

All in all, these images represent the true patriotism and iconic meanings that are OUR Philadelphia :)

Answer
It is first and foremost an "app" for the phone. I think you *can* upload photos to the site from any camera, (after the photos have been downloaded into the computer), but I have to add, if using Instagram is of concern to you, you have NO need for the Canon DSLR. The T3 is for REAL photography, not for silly apps. Instagram is NOT photography. If all you do is take the Canon, keep it in Auto, and take snapshots, you might as well keep your phone and save your parents some money.

iPhone 5 FPS for still images?

Adam

I was wondering what the FPS on the STILL CAMERA is. If you tell me 30FPS, which I already know is for video, your answer will be voted down and will certainly NOT get 10 points.

To rephrase the question again: how many STILL IMAGES can the iPhone 5 take in 1 second?
iPhones have no user manual. No one at the Apple store would know because it is not on their website.

Answer
You are asking for still image "burst mode". On *still image capture devices* with this feature, that burst is generally around 3 still images to 5 still images per second. This can be a film camera (like a higher-end film SLR with a motor drive) or a digital still image device (like some point and shoot digital still image cameras, including bridge cameras and most sub-$1,500 dSLRs). The feature is typically used by (1) allowing burst mode in the camera's option menu or (2) pressing the shutter release button and holding it down while capturing stills for as long as the shutter release button is pressed.

Your reference to "30 fps" is irrelevant to still image capture. 30 fps is NTSC standard video capture frame rate. Still image capture has very little (or nothing) to do with video capture. The number of photos it can capture in 1 second is related to the time it takes for the person using the still image capture feature to press the shutter release button, wait for the still image to be written to memory and allow the camera to return to still image capture mode so the next image can be taken. This time can vary because of the different options available for the still image capture.

For example, using the iPhone's "HDR" feature results in two images being captured and processed/stored (if that option is selected). Capturing a panorama is another still image capture feature and is take a long time to pan across 240 degrees. The iPhone has no "burst" mode. HOWEVER, technically, if the digital still image capture is merely a single still, if the iPhone is in HDR mode, it captures 2 stills per second of the same image. One is "normal" and the other is the composite HDR image.

Clarification: The iPhone might not have a *printed* manual, but the soft-copy manual is a link in the iPhone's Safari bookmark section, "iPhone User Guide". Using the links at the top of the iPhone page at apple.com provides a relatively useful "manual", too
http://www.apple.com/iphone/
Why iPhone
Features
Design
Built-in Apps
App Store
iOS
iCloud
Tech Specs
This "table of contents" is similar to many manuals usually included with cameras, camcorders, and other electronic devices.

Also, at apple.com in the Support area http://support.apple.com/manuals/
there is a link to the iPhone User Guide in the section labeled "Manuals". It is the same "manual" in the iPhone Safari book mark area referred to in the beginning of the "Clarification" section of this post.

Reading through these iPhone 5 manuals did not identify this feature as being available.

Again, at apple.com, in the support area, use of the Communities is a great way to ask questions about various Apple products and capabilities.

And last, the Apple store folks are not the only resource available. Any of the cellphone service providers which carry the iPhone 5 would be good resources, too.

Please keep in mind, that as good as the iPhone is, it is a Phone - hence its name. Anything else past being a phone is a convenience feature. If there is a specific need for a specific capability other than be a phone, then the best course of action is to get the device with a primary design capability to meet your feature requirement. In this case, a digital still image camera with a burst mode feature would be the prudent path forward for you. Another option would for you to try and write an app for the phone so that the phone can capture the still images according to your burst mode still image capture requirement.

I really like taking pictures on my phone, and i need some editing apps. i want apps that have like hipster edits or like good vibe edits and some with like the yin yang symbol. So please help thank you!

Answer
There are tons of great photo apps for the iPhone and iPad.

Photo Editor - Snapseed is a comprehensive photo app that you'll wind up using every day. Photoshop mobile is another editor to consider. And Befunky is great too with the addition of more fun editing features.

Swap Photo Parts - With Juxtaposer you can take one part from one photograph and add that part into a second photo.

Panoramic Photos - Pano features the ability to take 360-degree panoramas using up to sixteen photos with a semi-transparent guide helps you line up each shot perfectly. With Pano's alignment tools, blending, and colour-correction algorithms provide you can really get seamless images in just seconds - I have been amazed.

Text on Photos - Photophrase blends beautiful typography with pictures to create unique images you can share. You can use Photophrase for photo captioning, photo sharing, and just plain photo fun.

Funny Faces - Faceship offers tons of face-changing effects! Besides the TinyFace, effects include a bubbleface, square head, nerd glasses (with enlarged eyeballs!), catface, the best moustache ever, some crazy mirror effects, horrible zits, sad face and happy faces, fat neck, and a bunch more. Another option is PhotoGoo which lets you turn your photos to Goo! Create funny facial expressions from your friends faces.

Un-crop - If you've ever taken a hasty photo on your phone and didn't leave enough room on the outside, AntiCrop is the app can uncrop those photos by filling in the edges with just a few swipes.

What is Pheed?!?!?!?!?

top 10 iphone photo apps 2012 on Apple to unveil new iPhone September 12, launch on September 21
top 10 iphone photo apps 2012 image

Kameron

Is it like instagram?

Answer
Pheed, (pronounced as âfeedâ), is a free social media platform for web and mobile devices. The Pheed website launched on October 12, 2012, followed by the iPhone app on November 10, 2012, making its way into Appleâs Top Charts, Top 10 Free Apps in the social category in its first six weeks.[1][2][3][4][5][6] On February 19, 2013, Pheed was ranked the #1 app in the Apple Top Charts social category, above Twitter and Facebook.[7][8] On May 14th, 2013, Pheed launched their Android app.[9][10][11][12][13]

Pheed provides users with a unified platform for sharing all forms of digital content which includes text, photo, audio clips, voice notes, video, and live broadcast. Users can subscribe to other usersâ channels and view their subscribed channelsâ content in real time; they can âloveâ or âheartacheâ specific pheeds, hashtag and âpheedback,â as well as share content from othersâ channels to their own via a feature called âremixâ similar to a retweet. Users can search content via hashtags, and limit their search with filters that allow them to view specific content types (i.e. only photos, only videos, etc.).[1][2][3][14][15][16][17]

While it is free to use Pheed, users have an option to monetize their content, either by applying a monthly subscription fee to their channel, or setting up a pay-per-view Live broadcast[disambiguation needed] event. In both cases, the user selects his/her own pricing and earns directly.[2][3][15][16][18][19] While many users are currently choosing to share for free, some in the press believe this feature will incentivise content creators to create quality content for the web.[2][16][17]

Pheedâs slogan "Express yourself" encourages users to upload original content. There is also a copyright button that users can use to copyright material.[4][17][20][21][22] Pheed is also recognized as the world's first platform to offer pay-per-view live broadcasting on mobile.[9][10]

Instagram is an online photo-sharing, video-sharing and social networking service that enables its users to take pictures and videos, apply digital filters to them, and share them on a variety of social networking services, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr.[3] A distinctive feature is that it confines photos to a square shape, similar to Kodak Instamatic and Polaroid images, in contrast to the 16:9 aspect ratio now typically used by mobile device cameras.

Instagram was created by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger and launched in October 2010. The service rapidly gained popularity, with over 100 million active users as of April 2012.[4][5] Instagram is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play.[6] Support was originally available for only the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch; in April 2012, support was added for Android camera phones running 2.2 Froyo. Originally a purely photo-sharing service, Instagram incorporated video sharing in June 2013, allowing its users to record and share videos lasting for up to 15 seconds.[7] This venture has been seen as some as Facebook's attempt at competing with Twitter's Vine video-sharing application. Should I get the Motorola Droid, Blackberry Storm 2, or wait for the next greatest VZW phone?

I currently have a blackberry curve and I am looking to upgrade. My curve is not broken or anything so I am in no hurry. I have been looking at the new phones and they seem to do a lot more than my curve does. LOL

Answer
I have had several Blackberry phones over the last 2 years. Started with the Curve 8830 and fell in love with it! Since then I have had the Tour, Storm, and Storm 2. I LOVED my Storm 2, but when my brother got a Droid, I had to return my Storm 2 for the Droid. It is an AWESOME phone. It is totally customizable and has push email for Gmail or other email (except Yahoo unless you pay Yahoo's fee to be able to port your email). The App Store has tons of Apps for anything from games to photo editing to a flashlight (which BB also has a flashlight app). The drawbacks are the thing about Yahoo email and the slide-out keypad sucks on the Droid. Even tho the keypad on the Storm was a virtual qwerty keypad, I liked it MUCH better than the Droid's keypad.

At times I really miss my Storm 2, but there is just so much more available on the Droid that I try to suffer through the terrible keypad usage daily.

As far as the upgrade goes, there are a few new phones coming out on Verizon next year, including the Palm Pre (which I am personally going to have to try out), the BB Tour 2, and a couple of other Android phones which don't seem like they are going to overpower the Droid.

I can't tell you which way to go because I am constantly on the fence about phones (friends call me the eBay queen because that's where I get most of my phones). The browser is excellent on the Droid and is just okay on the Storm 2 as far as the speed goes. I guess you just have to decide which is more important to you. Like I say, I debate on selling my Droid even tho I really like it and getting a Storm 2 every day, so I may be of no help! I may just have to face facts that I am a Crackberry addict for life! Hahaha!

What apps are the best for Samsung Galaxy S 3? Which ones should I download?

Answer
Some apps that I have are:
*Zedge(free)- This has a lot of free wallpapers (live and not), ringtones, and notification tones

*SwiftKey3 Keyboard (free 30 day trial/lifetime 3.99 purchase)-a great keyboard that oredicts what you type by learning your style of typing, themes,, very easy to use

*Where's my droid (free, or pro paid version)-lets you find your phone by making it make a siren sound by texting it a key phrase even if it's on silent you can find it, or find it on a gps if it is stolen.

*Any flashlight app is good too, I have "flashlight" which is also free

*PicsArt-(free)-Edit photos, filter/distort/etc., collage photos, or draw on photos.

*Phone Overheat(free)-in case you watch a lot of videos or play apps and multitask, this will alert you if your phone battery is getting to hot

*QR Droid(free)-lets you scan QR codes and normal barcodes then look them up with ease

*Google Goggles(free)-Scan foreign text and traslate it, scan famous paintings/sites and read about them, scan logos too

*Dictionary.com(free)-you know what that is, it also allows access to thesaurus

*SetCPU for root users(1.99)- if you have rooted your phone this allows you to change your CPU speed to make your phone faster or to save battery

*SoundHound(free, or a stupid 5.99 version that is not worth it)-way better than Shazam, recognizes music playing or being sung and gives you lyrics, title, artist, ticket info, artsist bio, etc.

*Where's my water(free limited version, or .99 full version)-Very very fun game, it does take quite a bit of space and battery but, whatever :)

*Netflix(free)- If you have a netflix this allows access to the instant queue and you can watch instantly from your phone, this also take up battery so make sure you have your phone connected, and wifi available if you have limited data.

*ColorNote Notepad Notes To Do (free)- very helpful for making a checklist and you can make widgets of a certain thing a put it on a home screen, and put note into your calendar. taking notes is okay but I think there are other apps a lot better for taking notes like Evernote (free)

*And Lastly TEMPLE RUN(free)- Everyones gotta love this game

Hope I helped you find some good apps :)

Emily

On Instagram I see a lot of pictures, but some people prefer their pictures as the actual shape, so they cover the rest up with white. Here's an example if you don't know what I'm saying:
http://lifeinlofi.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/squaready-crop-screen-1212-01.jpg

I know of a few apps that does this, but I'm looking for one that can make the edges of the photo round or make the photo a circle (with a white border thing). I've found Squaready and Whiteagram, but I'm pretty sure you can't make the photos round with these. For example:

Thanks in advance!

How to get Polaroid looking pictures with Olympus OM-10 Film Camera.?

Paul M

I have an Olympus OM-10 film camera, and when I last got my photos developed they looked normal. How do I get those over saturated, polaroid looking pictures with my camera?

Many thanks for any help.

Answer
Paul, would you drive a banana to work? Or wear a telephone on your head to keep it warm?

Then why would you try to make photos from an Olympus OM10 look like ones made in a Polaroid camera?

The OM10 can take great, "normal" photos. That is the point of that type of camera.

Professional Polaroid Peel Apart films and cameras can do that too. You are probably thinking of Polaroid 600 films and cameras, which are point and shoot, low quality images with white borders around them. If this is what you want, you should buy a Polaroid camera and some film from the Impossible Project.

If you want oversaturated instant photos, buy a Fuji Instax and Fuji Instax instant film.

If you don't care about the artistic integrity of what you are doing, go straight to the Poladroid app for your iPhone like all the other people who can't be bothered with being authentic.

In any case, you will do best using the proper camera/lens/film that is appropriate for the look you are trying to achieve. Else, you will be doing a lot of unnecessary work just to creat an inauthentic product.

Good luck!

nah

or there is another things to do in ipad

Answer
Well you can do a lot of stuff on an iOS device like iPhone or iPad. like you can download apps such as Photo editing and you could edit photos. You may wanna surf the web talk to your friends, chatting, reading books (iBooks), News and a lot of useful apps. If it's jailbroken then it's great. There's a nre world in Cydia like customizing your iPad through themes ad tweaks. You have a tablet PC.

what are some good iphone apps (jailbroken)?

12 pack

give the name/s and why its good. Thanks
It's a 3g on the 3.0.1 firmware

Answer
go to cydia and get:

categories-lets you put all your apps in folders (also when you type in categories, like 4 more things should come up, download them and this gives your more icons for the folders)

backgrounder - lets you have many apps running in the background and makes slow loading apps faster to load. (to activate: when you are on an app hold the home button for 3 seconds and it will say backgrounder enabled)

get sbsettings to go with backgrounder and this lets you get to things like bluetooth, brightness, wifi without having to exit an app and it is quick. this also lets you see what apps you have running from backgrounder by clicking processes. to activate sbsettings swipe the top of your ipod screen from left to right.

installous - simply lets you get all app store apps for free! (with no bugs or anything). to get this: go to cydia, click manage at the bottom, click sources, click edit then add source. add the source: http://cydia.hackulo.us/
once it has refreshed the sources click on hackulo.us and scroll down to installous and install it.

winterboard - lets you add themes for your battery, wifi signals icons and many more (you can put your own picture as a background by going onto photos and click the one you want, then use as wallpaper then going onto winterboard and clicking user wallpaper and user lock background) after you have activated anything on winterboard, click the home button and it should turn black and say "... setting language" it will load for a few seconds then once you unlock it again, the thing you activated will be there.
you can get all these themes and stuff on cydia.

i hope this helps

My sister gave me her iPhone 4 cause she got a new one, and I just restored it cause I wanted to get rid of all the photos she had on there and apps and stuff, but when I go to activate it, it says something about a sim card and all. I don't have a sim card nor does my sister or anyone else, cause i just want to use it like an ipod, I'm not going to call anyone or anything. I can't see a skip button or anything on the page either. Could someone help? This is just an iPhone 4. Not an iPhone 4S or anything
P.S I do have wifi at home and I've put the password in, but it goes to 'activating your iphone' then it says there is no sim in the phone.

So I have an iPod touch with tons of apps and music and photos, and I was wondering how I could transfer all of that onto my iPhone 4 using iTunes. I have had negative experiences with iTunes before, where it deleted EVERYTHING on my iPod, so I hope that doesn't happen this time.
So, how can I do that? Please explain. Thank you :)

What are the advantages and disadvantages of jailbreaking my iPhone?

photo applications for iphone 3 on ... of the home screen of your Apple iPhone 3GS in all its icon glory
photo applications for iphone 3 image

FRAGEN

I have an iPhone 4 and I've been thinking about jailbreaking it, but I'm not sure about the advantages and disadvantages. If I decide to, what is the best program to use? Are there risks? Will it delete all my data and can I unjailbreak it? Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Answer
Cons:
1. Lag. It's usually not even noticed unless you're using an older iPhone model. I notice that stock apps take about 1 second longer to open, but that's about it.
2. Battery life might be slightly decreased.
3. You can't hit that update button in iTunes the second it appears. Well, you can, but you might temporarily lose your untethered jailbreak, so it's best to wait. If you do this anyway and then decide you want to roll back the firmware, you can do that as long as you have your SHSH saved. They are automatically saved after the first one.

Pros (There are a lot more than this. These are just some of the highlights):
1. The freedom to do things outside the scope of an application and the ability to install apps that were not approved for the App Store for various reasons.
2. Fast access to settings toggles.
3. Full access to the file system.
4. Customization and themeing.
5. Custom gestures and buttons for features, such as a springboard pinch to activate the flashlight and double tap the lockscreen clock to open phone favorites.
6. Managing photos and videos on the iPhone (create folders without iTunes).
7. Enhancing stock apps. Add a download manager to Safari, save attachments in email, add a download feature to YouTube, pull to refresh Safari, access WiFi only apps, such as FaceTime, on 3G, and add a navigate button to Maps (opens in Navigon or TomTom).
8. Live weather on the lockscreen and springboard.
9. Accelerate animations in the GUI.
10. Add more folder options and improve the task switcher.
11. Enable iOS direct printing (AirPrint) for non-supported printers.
12. Bluetooth media file transfers to and from other phones.
13. Better text messaging apps. Send and reply to texts on the lock screen and from within apps.
14. Action Menu customizations. This adds additional functions, such as favorites, dial and to bottom, to the stock cut, copy and paste functionality.
15. Add a user agent faker toggle so you can quickly switch between mobile and full site website browser user agents.
16. Free tethering.
17. Managing music without iTunes.

____________________________________________________________

With that being said, if you do decide to jailbreak your device, you can do it by going to this link:
http://www.ios-source.com/how-to-jailbreak-the-iphone

You would jailbreak it with Redsn0w. It will not delete all your data, but you should backup your device before you jailbreak it, just in case something goes wrong. You can only unjailbreak by restoring your device with iTunes.

I'd recommend jailbreaking your device. Mine is jailbroken, and I'm glad I did it.

How come I can't receive pictures in my unlocke iPhone 4 with simple mobile?

its me aga

I purchased a factory unlocked iPhone so it doesn't have Cydia

Anyways i can send pictures but I can't receive them I get a message that says The media content was not included due to a picture resolution or message size restriction.

So please help me! My friends always send me pictures but I can't receive them and it's really starting to annoy me!

Answer
simple solution is

Go to appstore and then go to the search tab and search for blutooth photo share or something like that and then install it and now you can easily share images.

There is another soltion which involves jailbreaking your iphone.

Jail break your iphone throught limera1n(Jailbreaking has been legalized, just google if you dont trust me)

Folllow the below steps :

Step 1 download limera1n to jailbreak : http://www.limera1n.com

Step 2 Connect your iphone to the computer and start limera1n and follow the onscreen instructions.

Step 3 once done you should see an alert on the computer saying "your iphone has jailbreaked successfully" wait for the iphone to restart and if it doesnt then do it manually.

Step 4 now you should be able to see limera1n application on your iphone, just launch it and instal cydia

Step 5 Now that cydia has been downloaded and installed just open it and for the first time it will close automatically, that is normal

Step 6 Launch cydia again and search for ifile or ibluenove in the search tab

Download and install it and now using ibluenova you can share pictures, vidos, songs not only through iphone ipod but also to any phone like nokia , samsung etc
