photo editing app for nokia 500 image
Nooooooooo
I have a Nokia N85 running... Whatever propriatory OS Nokia uses. I can backup the phone to .NBU files on my PC using Nokia's backup tool, and I can "explore" these NBUs with a 3rd party app. The problem is that I have a new HTC Desire running Android and I want to transfer my SMS messages (About 3,500), Pictures, Videos, and Contacts from my Nokia phone (or .NBUs) to my new HTC. I can connect my HTC to the PC also and have the HTC synching app for it but I think it only works with Android's own backup files. What I need is a way to either transfer the data from the phone or a Nokia NBU to whatever-Android-uses file format converter.
Any ideas?
Answer
Android is an opne system, so it doesn't use any kind of proprietary backup files. There may be apps that create theor own specific backup, but the system itself does not.
My suggestion would be this:
Extract the photos and videos from the Nokia backup files on your PC and just save them in their native format. These can be copied directly to the SD card on the phone. Please note that Android only supports certain video formats.
With contacts, the best thing to do with Android is use a Google mail account. Because Google apps are integrated into Android, you can use mail, contacts and the calendar on line, and they will immediately sync up with the same apps on the phone.
You can probably export the Nokia contacts to some kind of standard file format, such as CSV, and then import them into your Google Contacts, then edit them as you see fit right on line. All the changes and edits will sync to your phone, since they all like in Google's cloud.
As for texts, I'm not sure about that. perhaps there's a way to export them to some kind of plain text format and import them back to the phone. I've never done that (I rarely save text messages).

What's the difference between iPhone and iPad?
I love my Iphone, I couldn't live without it.
The Iphone was a great invention, but what is ipad? Personally I think it'll fail because it starts at $500 I mean for $600 you can get a really nice laptop from dell.
Answer
Question are always raised with inception of every new concept. iPhone has become the highest selling brand in smartphone category. BB,,Nokia sell more but they have many models.
But back in 2007 this iconic phone was written off because it didnt have flash support,MMS, a nice camera and video camera. But still people who bought it , loved it because whatever it did, did with extreme elegance.
iPad is not competing with laptop. PSP Go sells for $250 and X-Box 360 basic model sell for a similar price do people still buy PSP Go. Because both have different usage.
I wished many times while reading a book, playing games or working with Word document on iPhone, that screen could be bigger. Here it comes a bigger and vibrant screen with same great user interface.
Photo editing on iPhone has impressed many professionals all they needed was a higher resolution and larger work are. Their wish is fulfilled.
Magazine and other publishing house have always desired something like iPad.
Normally laptops are shutoff when you are not using them, and it takes a while to boot when you start it. If you want internet on go , you need to pay $60/month.
iPad starts as quick as iPhone. No booting, unlimited internet is available at half the price. You can fill the form and do signature online so it will be amazingly helpful for professionals.
iWork will redefine the way we work with documents. Many will follow multi gesture suite now.
iPad has 140,000 apps out of the box and many powerful app especially designed for iPad is on its way. We will be mesmerized by the power and usability of this stellar machine.
I think its will be phenomenal success.
