Like, if I buy a cheap iphone 4 will they activate it? Or does it have to be through their company?

AT&T is a GSM network which uses sim cards GSM PHONES ARE NOT ACTIVATES

Verizon Sprint as CDMA whose phones require activation

These are incompatible technologies:
A CDMA handset will never ever ever ever, work on the a GSM network and vice versa!!!!

The 5Mp camera IP4 may be the cheapest when compared to other iPhones but to invest any money in an OVERPRICED device is severe waste as in 2 years you will be using a 5 year old device that came out in 2010. Many have already upgraded from the IP4 in 2012...

There are newer phones better phones and they cost a lot less**** giving you more than the 8Gb on the IP4, you should look at eg Sam Gal ACE II or the Lumia 620 for phone with a secondary camera for video call microSD expansion WIFI, GPS, DUAL CORE.........AND BLUETOOTH MEDIA TRANSFER (Sharing) which no iPhone even the IP5 has (photos / music CANNOT be shared if one phone is an iPhone

Switching from iPhone to Galaxy S4?

Hello everyone. I've had my iPhone 4 for about 2 years now and it broke and it's totally messed up now since I dropped it. Since I'm eligable for an upgrade at ATT, I was wondering how difficult it would be to switch from Apple to Google. I've had my iTunes account for years and have bought many many apps and songs and I wanted to know if I can possibly transfer all my stuff to a Galaxy S4 if I were to purchase one. I also wanted to know if the S4 had an app like the music app on iPhone.

As the other answerer stated, you CAN'T transfer apps form IOS to Android, you just have to see if the app you once had replicated in Android, many are and more are free!

Just a couple of reason why you should leave the orchard

1) The Samsung Galaxy S II (2) was released in MAY 2011 & has 1.2Ghz Dual Core processor with an 8Mp camera.

18 months later November 2012 Apple puts a 1.2Ghz Dual Core processor & 8Mp camera in a phone and call it the IP5
[Samsung S IV is Octa Core; Quad-core 1.6 GHz & Quad-core 1.2 GHz processor plus 13Mp camera. Samsung has 5 phones superior to the IP5, BUT the IP5 [1.2Ghz Dual Core processor with an 8Mp camera] etc despite being behind in ALL areas has higher the tariffs higher cost than the S IV.

2 You will have BLUETOOTH MEDIA TRANSFER (SHARING) photos / music cannot be shared if one phone is an iPhone
