I'm looking for something that would ask for a password every time I try to enter my messages, notes, photos, ipod, etc. Is it possible? Is there any application like that?

Answer
why don't you just put a password on your phone, so every time you unlock it you'll need to give your password.

How do I sync my mac addressbook contact photos with my iPhone?

micahalp

I got an iPhone yesterday and have been adding all my contact info to my mac addressbook. I went through and added photos in the addressbook app, but when I sync my iPhone I get the numbers, but not the photos. Anyone know how to fix it?

Answer
Contacts:

You can sync contacts from Mac OS X Address Book and Yahoo! Address Book on a
Mac, or from Yahoo! Address Book, Windows Address Book (Outlook Express), or
Microsoft Outlook on a PC. On a Mac, any other address books youâve set to sync with
Address Book, such as Microsoft Entourage, will also be synced with iPhone. If you sync
with Yahoo! Address Book, you only need to click Configure when you change your
Yahoo! ID or password after youâve set up syncing. Click Configure and enter your new
login information.

Note:
Syncing wonât delete any contact in Yahoo! Address Book that contains a
Messenger ID, even if youâve deleted the contact from your address book on iPhone or
your computer. To delete a contact with a Messenger ID, log in to your online Yahoo!
account and delete the contact using Yahoo! Address Book.

We have a family plan iPhone. I set up an iCloud account by entering my Yahoo email address login information upon it asking for it. Once i entered it, it autosaved my login info & my password for my yahoo email address on my iphone. Secondly, i just found out after i saw my yahoo inbox that it says "Welcome -----" My other family member's name! So I guess the iCloud merged all of our accounts since we have a family plan.
I Do Not want to share my photos, texts, and other media content on my other family members devices and I'm trying to look for a place where i can Log out of my yahoo mail on this iCloud app on my iphone, but theres no place to log out of my yahoo inbox!! My family can read all of my messages on their devices and vice versa.

How do I make it stop?? and most importantly, how do I take my yahoo email address Login info Out of iCloud so others cannot log into my yahoo mail and read it. I simply don't want iCloud.

Answer
Make sure your phones do not share the same Apple ID in Settings-icloud since that is what the phone works off of. Also go to Appleid.apple.com and make sure to manage your account to see if the information on the account is correct.

if the information has merged you will have to delete them the hard way using icloud.com.

How do I completely reset my ipod from my computer?

Caroline

Last week my IPod Touch was stolen and it has a lot of important information on it. My email and Facebook are permanently signed in on my iPod so I have reset my Facebook and email passwords. Since then I keep getting updates from yahoo saying "sign in failed" when I was not attempting to sign in. I believe my ipod was sold but that the information on it was not deleted. Yahoo says that my current location is somewhere in a neighboring town when I sign into my email also, so I believe it is picking up on the email signed in on my ipod. I also have around 900 photos of family and friends on it. It is SO important that my IPod be reset any response/help would be so much appreciated.

Answer
You wouldn't be able to remotely erase the data unless you had the Find My iPhone app installed. Also could have used it to help find it when it gains an internet connection.

is there a app that allows you to parental control on your iphone?

ken g

my son uses my iphone to keep him amused by playing on the app's. Also on my iphone i have 18rated films that i dont want him to see. Is there an app which gives you parental control of certain photos and films?

Answer
With the wide variety of apps out there, no doubt there is but, personally i wouldnt be looking at apps for the solution, it would be of bad quality as it is hard to work against certain apple programming. Which is why apple (alwayz bloddy right!) has set up its own version of parental controls which lets you set a password (so the little bugga cant get in and change the settings) then limit certain programs, apps and features of the ipone / ipod touch. there are timelimits and evreything really or you can just block the app completly, you can easily turn the controls off with a press of a button and typing in your password. Evreytime you turn the controls off then on again it askes you to set a new password, this is great so if your son manages to hack your passoword it wont last long lol. But have you considered setting a major password which doesnt let anyone use your ipod unless they type in the passord. Also you can set the time it prompts you for the password so for example you could set it so he can be on your ipod for say, 10 minuits before it asks him for the password then it wont let him use it untill he types in the password. If you get the password wrong 5 times it locks you out for 1 minuit, then if you get it wrong once after that it locks you out for 5 minuits, if you get the password wrong after that it locks you out for 15 mins ...ect. you can set it so if someone gets the password wrong 10 times it wipes evreything off the ipod so its little more than a usb - then when you plug it in the computer once more if you type in the password right it will restore the ipod to previous state - if you need any help email me on : mtaf-@hotmail.com

hope this helped (:
