What is the highest resolution that ipod "safe" apps can handle without crashing?

Spencer

You know those apps that you can store media (primarily photos) in and "lock" it with a passcode?
I have a picture that i want to lock up, but it's so big (quality-wise) that every time I try to deposit it in the "safe" the ipod crashes. At first I thought it was a temporary glitch so I tried over and over again thinking I would get a different outcome. And mind you, I did try multiple apps.
I have the picture on my computer and picture editing software, so I can reduce the quality. I want the picture to be in as high quality as possible. I don't want to make the quality of the picture lower than the highest possible.

So here's the question: What is the highest resolution that ipod "safe" apps can handle without crashing?

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!!

Answer
I would say that there is no available highest resolution because this all depends on the processing of your device [whether slow or fast]...

Good luck!

Editing Photos Like Iphonetography?

im trying to find out what app i can download to take and edit pictures like the ones in iphonetography or for example, like this
http://www.google.com/imgres?q=iphoneography&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&biw=1440&bih=809&tbm=isch&tbnid=ev7bBUtuhyBstM:&imgrefurl=http://www.ilovephotoblogs.com/iphoneography-seb%2525E2%252580%252599s-daily-iphone-photo-blog&docid=qmCI5_59P_PiCM&w=800&h=800&ei=cvdFTu31Go3QgAeMo5i5Bg&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=158&page=1&tbnh=160&tbnw=167&start=0&ndsp=24&ved=1t:429,r:22,s:0&tx=125&ty=92

help me please!!!

Answer
Hi! I am an experienced iPhoneographer (featured in Mashable, CNN, Sky News, and the NY Times), and here are some of my favourite iPhoneography applications to use:

1. Instagram: this is an amazing FREE iPhone photo-filtering and photo-sharing app, where you can take a picture within the app, add one of a number of great-looking "vintage-y" filters (including an inbuilt "tilt-shift" blur effect you can add before any of the other colour filters), and then share the photo with your "followers" within the application. It is like a photo-sharing twitter, where you can follow other interesting users and have them follow you back. The quality of the iPhone photos shared within Instagram is surprisingly high and the community feel really makes it a great application where you can get useful feedback about your photos. It's often number one in the Free iPhone Photography apps on the App store. You can "like" photos and people can "like" your photos, it can get very addictive! My IG username is @streetstylish, and I recommend the following ten users as having consistently excellent iPhoneography photostreams on Instagram: @fashion @takinyerphoto @sionfullana @anton_in_nyc @eros_sana @thomas_k @neriad @bondavidsf @xxxyxyz @dutchie68

2. Hipstamatic: this app allows you to very easily take a (square format) iPhone photograph and instantly applies a filtered look based on the "Lens" and "Film" that you choose. It comes with a few "Lenses" and "Films" packaged with the initial download, and you can also buy more later if you want to experiment more. It is very slickly designed and easy to use. You can't change your Lens or Film choice at a later date if you decide you want to experiment, but the effects are very high quality and accurately replicate some vintage films and lenses for the iPhone. It currently costs £1.49 in the UK App store.

3. Camera+ (by tap tap tap, NOT the other one in the app store): £0.69 in the UK app store right now, and I highly recommend it both for taking photos instead of the native Apple camera app and for editing pictures. You can take a "normal" photo from your camera roll, import it to the Lightbox in Camera+, and add a variety of effects and frames to your photo and then easily save it back to your camera roll or share it on Facebook. You can use it to crop your photos and add different colour effects. Their "Clarity" filter is really great for a lot of photos, and adds a pseudo-HDR effect, making all of the areas of your photo look more evenly exposed.

Other great apps:

Free ones -- Adobe Photoshop (great for basic editing, like color saturation etc), Photosynth (interactive panorama capture and sharing developed by Microsoft), Color Splash Free (you can use this to make your photo black and white while keeping certain areas of the picture in colour), Old Photo (use this to give your photos a real 'retro' feel)

Paid ones -- Camera Genius (camera and editing app), Filterstorm (really advanced editing similar to photoshop), Diptic (for creating collages of different photos), PictureShow (great for editing photos into really vintage styles using different filters and frames, you will love this one!), Photo fx (great, intuitive photo editing application), Picfx (you can add lots of texture, noise, and filters to your photos with this one! Great app!)

Good luck and happy snapping!

Good Photo Editing Apps for Galaxy s4?

sayra

I need a good editing app for galaxy s4.
Specifically one that has a pale effect. Please and thank yooouu

Answer
there are several good photo editing apps for galaxy s4. they are described below,

1.Snapseed
Snapseed is the one of the best photo apps out there for editing and cropping photos. It makes any photograph extraordinary with a fun, high-quality photo experience right at your fingertips. With Snapseed you can share photos to social networks and even edit photographs better than Photoshop. Snapseed is a wonderful app and should be at the top of your editing list.

2.Photo Editor by Aviary
is a fantastic photo editing app that lets you edit like a pro. Similiar to Snapseed, the app has a beautiful UI. In comparison to other apps out there, it lacks features, but it is very easy to use.

3.BeFunky Photo Editor
Looking for an insane number of editing features for your S4? Check out BeFunky, the app is great and has a ridiculous amount of filters and frames. Out of all the editing/filter apps out there, BeFunky is probably the most fully-featured. BeFunky Photo Editor can be found here in Google Play.

4.Adobe Photoshop Touch
For those loyal to Photoshop and Adobe, Adobe Photoshop Touch is a great option for editing. The app is similiar to Snapseed and allows for high-level, professional editing. Adobe Photoshop Touch for the HTC One can be found here in Google Play.

How do I make HQ Scene edits on Instagram?

high quality photo editing apps on BeFunky Photo Editor 1.0.6 Android app
high quality photo editing apps image

Cameron

Hi I own a Pretty Little Liars Fanpage on Instagram and I would like to know how to make high quality scene edits like what apps do I need and what to do on those apps. I try to ask the pages that do HQ scene edits but they say they don't give out apps and I think that's just selfish but that's not the point. Please help me! My followers are leaving me for those pages and I want to keep the ones I have!

Answer
Ok, I know what your talking about.

So basically to make those kind of (professional edits) are apps such as:

VSCO CAM (Fades, Makes Pictures Brighter, Makes them somewhat HD) *RECCOMENDED*

Pixlromatic (Gives you choices of improving your photo's color and such)

Squareready (Basically helps make photo fit) *NOT FORCED TO HAVE*

Afterlight (Very good app for editing photos) *RECCOMENDED*

iWatermark (Good for labeling your photos. Basically just labeling your name so no one steals your edit.) *NOT FORCED TO HAVE*

How will my laptop work with mass amounts of video, photo, and music editing?

John

I recently bought a 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display and had it upgraded to 2.8 GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, with TurboBoost up to 3.8GHz and 768 GB of flash storage. I was wondering how well would it work with massive amounts of photo, video, and music editing along with capability to play intense game with hardcore graphics also to hold a lot of storage of constant 10 to 20 minute long videos added a day, can it do all of this without crashing constantly but rarities are accepted and if storage is the only true problem I am willing to get an external storage device. I am posting this because I am a starting photographer, somewhat a director, a student, and overall entertainer. I also am asking because even though when I did the research it all seemed to check out I was wondering if any experts or people with personal experience could shine some light upon this because I've had many laptops that cant seem to handle extensive editing of all kinds from programs like those created by Adobe, and cant handle the storage for the videos and also crash during downloads of high quality games or during the actual gameplay. I'd like to hear many people's opinions and am open to suggestions. Thank you.

Answer
Files in storage do not cause system crashes. To store massive amounts of data, you will need some external drives. My Mac tower had four internal drives and four external drives. I don't use any of my Mac notebooks for video editing, except a bit of touch up on location. I can't deal with intense editing on a tiny 15" screen.

Notebook computers don't play games at highest level all day without some over-heating.... unless the notebook is almost 2 inches thick (Alienware) to allow large fans and air space inside for cooling.

If you use several high-RAM apps simultaneously, such as Final Cut Pro, Photoshop and Handbrake, the system will use scratch space / virtual memory, and that will cause slow operation, but not necessarily a crash.

Notebook computers are designed for multi-tasking on the go, but in recent years, a trend has skyrocketed for "bolting down" a notebook, and using it as if it were a desktop. It would make much more sense for these people to buy a desktop, like the Mac Pro http://www.apple.com/mac-pro/ or an all-in-one, like the iMac.

How many songs can my ipod nano hold?

dohman3

I have a new 16gb gen 4 iPod nano, which, according to the website, can hold 4,000 songs. However, I've loaded 185 songs, and about a third of my memory is used (around 5gb). 185 is a far cry from 4,000! A lot of the songs I loaded were from CDs, is that what makes the difference? When the apple website says 4,000 songs, do they actually mean 4,000 iTunes downloads? Thanks!

Answer
ive got around 1000 songs on my ipod touch, 8gb, ive used about 4 gb, and thats with apps, photos, and videos, so 185 songs should not be 5gb

first, try right-clicking on a song in itunes, and choose, "get info," check how many kbps the song is, it should only be like 64-128, if its more than that, go to Edit, Prefernces, on the General tab look for a button that says "Import Settings," it will give u some options, i use AAC encoder, and High Quality(128 kbps).
When this is done, click ok.
you will need to delete ur itunes library and reimport ur Cd's
don't try it if u could'nt follow all that, i dont want u to lose all ur music

hope this helps

What are some good iPhone apps for vintage feel or professional looking pictures?

high quality photo editing apps on The Essays Or Counsels, Civil And Moral, Of Francis Bacon ...: Francis ...
high quality photo editing apps image

Charity

I'm looking for some apps that are similar to VSCO Cam, AfterLight, PixlrOMatic, and Diptic... I really love how my pictures look when they have that vintage look to them. I have an Instagram, and I know about apps like CamWow, Camera+, etc. I'm just looking for some apps similar to these that allow a lot of different, high quality customization.

I'm also looking for an app that has really cool shaped frames and kinda like a mirror effect with your images.

If anyone can help me out here, it would be greatly appreciated. :)

Answer
It should have this app called 'Safari'. From there you can buy a real camera.

Kidding aside, there's no way to get 'professional looking' pictures from an iPhone. If all you want to do is add filters, then Instagram and Hipstamatic are the most common.

Chances are, any good, vintage looking photos you've seen Tumblr and other sites were taken with a real camera and edited with real software like Photoshop.

What is the difference between the DSi and the PSP 3000?

Joshua C

DSi:

-Double Screen
-Camera
-Photo Edit
-Music
-Downloadable Games
-PictoChat
-Voice Recording
-Web Browsing
-Touch Screen
-Games (duh)

PSP 3000

-High Quality Graphics
-Bigger Screen
-Web Browsing

What else can the PSP 3000 do? I dont know much about it. I'm asking because, I am going to buy one of them.

Answer
well you answered your own question except for the hacking/moddeing involved with the psp 3000 free games ^_^ and homebrew: N64,SNES,GBA,SEGA GEN,CPS1-2-3 and many more also theres are some cool apps and themes. the psp also has music and downloadeable games (-_- why download them when you can get them for free ^_^), also has a web browser, you can see games clearly even in daylight (well according to SONY)

well it all depends on what kind of person you are a nintendo (mario and stuff wich is preety cool) or a sony, (if you come over to the dark side you can get nintendo games on it)
