Which app is better hipstamatic or camera plus pro?

Misscuriou

For iPhone 4 that is.

Answer
You could call me your typical iPhonegraphy junkie, I have tried over hundreds of photo apps, and I have discovered tons of great ones and not so great ones too. I have also tried Hipstamatic and Camera Plus Pro (Who wouldn't? Everyone talks about these two apps). But I cannot for the love of god understand what people like so much about Hipstamatic! (I need to talk to you Shay Shay!)

With Hipstamatic, you pay $1.99 for the app and then wind up paying upto $7 just to be able to take some decent photos! I havent been able to understand how to even get to use the front camera with this app (or im just being stupid, i don't know)

What I liked about Camera Plus Pro was that, all I had to do was pay $1.99 and i got everything! More than 36 Photo Filters, different capture modes, multiple sharing options. It's pretty much easy to use.

I've been experimenting with iPhone photography apps, and I love instagram, hipstamatic, pixlormatic. What are some good photography apps that consist of good filters and effects?

Answer
King Camera and Photo Toaster are my favourites.

What are some good iPhone apps for vintage feel or professional looking pictures?

Charity

I'm looking for some apps that are similar to VSCO Cam, AfterLight, PixlrOMatic, and Diptic... I really love how my pictures look when they have that vintage look to them. I have an Instagram, and I know about apps like CamWow, Camera+, etc. I'm just looking for some apps similar to these that allow a lot of different, high quality customization.

I'm also looking for an app that has really cool shaped frames and kinda like a mirror effect with your images.

If anyone can help me out here, it would be greatly appreciated. :)

Answer
It should have this app called 'Safari'. From there you can buy a real camera.

Kidding aside, there's no way to get 'professional looking' pictures from an iPhone. If all you want to do is add filters, then Instagram and Hipstamatic are the most common.

Chances are, any good, vintage looking photos you've seen Tumblr and other sites were taken with a real camera and edited with real software like Photoshop.

What are some other photo editing programs like Picnik?

I love Picnik but I've been using it for ages. Is there some other free photo editing programs I could use?
Thanks!

Answer
Here are some links that mention free online editing sites :

http://www.1stwebdesigner.com/freebies/28-online-photo-editing-websites-to-have-fun-with/

Check out these links for free photo editing softwares :
http://savedelete.com/20-best-photo-editing-software-for-free-download.html

Honestly, I have tried Picnik, and it seems pretty good. I used Fotoflexer once, and it seems decent. I download GIMP , but sadly didn't work on my computer. Apparently it's like Photoshop for free.

*Bonus* : Photo editing apps ;

I have tried a few, Adobe Photoshop Express ,as well as Colorize seem pretty good. Adobe Photoshop Express is free, and edits stuff such as Saturation, Exposure, Contrast, and has helpful stuff. Colorize basically helps by changing the colors on photos. It can be pretty good, if you use it right, but sometimes it does look fake.

Are there any iPhone apps the let you do cool effects with photos like on the Mac?

Talia

Ive seen lots of effects apps but none that do what you can on a Mac. Are there any?

Answer

Infinitly

-zwag
-acaciabrinley

and if you could recommend anymore apps, like one where you can blur out the background and make it galaxy print?
thanks so much. â¥

Answer
Jim A needs to shut up.

You've missed out on a crucial point, are you an android or an iPhone user?

I know android have two apps, one called "Pixlr-o-matic" and "Photo Editor".
There are way too many choices in the apple app store to limit it down to a few, just do a search for "photo editor" and download a few to try them, experiment and see what's best for you.

allygawrys actually looks like she users Pixlr-o-matic.
zwag looks like he uses the standard photo effects in instagram.
acaciabrinley looks to be using hipstamatic or vscocam, but could also be using a photo editing program on her computer then uploading the photos to instagram, it's hard to tell.

Hope that's helped.

Which are the must have iphone apps you would recommend to iphone newbies?

Happy

Answer
My favourites are as follows...

BBC News, The Guardian, Facebook, Twitter, The Train Line (look up train times, as good as national rail app but free.), Google Earth, Angry Birds (very addictive fun game), iBooks, Shazam (identify any song you hear, free.), Hipstamatic (amazing retro photos), TV Guide, RedLaser (barcode scanner that works on most branded products and gives you the cheapest price online. ), Speed Test (test your broadband speed), 0870 (find alternatives to premium rate numbers), Bump (transfer files from and too other iPhones), TuneIn Radio (listen to any internet radio station), PingChat (free chat to other iPhone users with PingChat), Ebuddy (talk to msn, yahoo, facebook chat, AIM contacts all at once)

Also I love the cracked app.
