If I edit a photo taken with my canon rebel on my iPhone, will It decrease the printed quality of the picture?

A photo's printed quality when taken on an iphone is worse than that of one taken on a canon rebel. If i were to take a photo on my canon rebel, then edit it on my iPhone, would that change the quality from the canon quality to the iphone quality? So sorry if this doesn't make sense, it's kind of hard to explain. Anyhow, please help. :)

On the apps, you sometimes have the option to keep the file size to original. I assume you're just printing at the local store.. it will print out just fine. The iPhone prints poorly because the iPhone takes poor images to begin with.
