IPhone apps for a crafty person?

kaywee

What are some good iPhone apps for a new mom, pretty crafty but always looking for new ideas. Anything pertaining to kids or babies, food, toys etc. Also apps about babies (growth/learn). Thanks!! P.s already have Pinterest

Answer
1. Evernote- It's really handy when you need to scribble something down, or take a pic of something. It's quite similar to having a digital filing cabinet

2. ShopSaavy- Scan the bar code of an item at the store, and it will show you the prices at other stores in the nearby area. It redefines "bargain shopping".

3. Coupon Sherpa Mobile- pulls up coupons for a wide variety of stores, so you don't need to waste time printing or clipping them.

4. Ace Budget- Enter your purchases, and it shows your budget.

5. Alphabet Discovery- Will help your child learn the alphabet.

6. iLearn with Boing: Ocean Adventures

7. Angry Birds

8. AlphaBee

9. Magical Music Box

10. College Save- Helps you budget so you can start saving for your kid's college.

11. Dinner Spinner Pro- You can plan the meals for the week, you can search Allrecipes.com, and you can send recipes to friends.

12. Sit Or Squat Bathroom Finder- Perfect for potty training. It shows info and ratings of bathrooms nearby, and whether or not there's a changing table.

13. Blux Camera- It's a brand new app that I've really been loving. It automatically recommends settings based on the lighting, weather, time of day, etc. There're really cool retro filters that you can use, plus you can control the saturation, sharpness, temperature, etc. It also has a lot of different modes, like portrait, landscape, food, etc. The cool thing, though, is that you can apply all the effects before you snap the photo... so you know exactly what the photo is going to look like before you take it (useful to make sure your kid isn't making any weird face). It's also really easy to upload photos onto Facebook, Twitter, etc. It's also nice, as it improves the resolution of the iPhone camera, making the pics clearer. So if you ever want to print them or make them into posters, they come out much better.

Should I get the Motorola Droid, Blackberry Storm 2, or wait for the next greatest VZW phone?

I currently have a blackberry curve and I am looking to upgrade. My curve is not broken or anything so I am in no hurry. I have been looking at the new phones and they seem to do a lot more than my curve does. LOL

Answer
I have had several Blackberry phones over the last 2 years. Started with the Curve 8830 and fell in love with it! Since then I have had the Tour, Storm, and Storm 2. I LOVED my Storm 2, but when my brother got a Droid, I had to return my Storm 2 for the Droid. It is an AWESOME phone. It is totally customizable and has push email for Gmail or other email (except Yahoo unless you pay Yahoo's fee to be able to port your email). The App Store has tons of Apps for anything from games to photo editing to a flashlight (which BB also has a flashlight app). The drawbacks are the thing about Yahoo email and the slide-out keypad sucks on the Droid. Even tho the keypad on the Storm was a virtual qwerty keypad, I liked it MUCH better than the Droid's keypad.

At times I really miss my Storm 2, but there is just so much more available on the Droid that I try to suffer through the terrible keypad usage daily.

As far as the upgrade goes, there are a few new phones coming out on Verizon next year, including the Palm Pre (which I am personally going to have to try out), the BB Tour 2, and a couple of other Android phones which don't seem like they are going to overpower the Droid.

I can't tell you which way to go because I am constantly on the fence about phones (friends call me the eBay queen because that's where I get most of my phones). The browser is excellent on the Droid and is just okay on the Storm 2 as far as the speed goes. I guess you just have to decide which is more important to you. Like I say, I debate on selling my Droid even tho I really like it and getting a Storm 2 every day, so I may be of no help! I may just have to face facts that I am a Crackberry addict for life! Hahaha!

any one know a blackberry app that lets you edit photos like the ds or just dit and right stuff on it?
