How much music and apps can the iPhone 4 8GB hold?

I just bought an iPhone 4 8GB from Virgin Mobile. And I was wondering how much music and apps can it hold? A lot of people are telling me that the 8 GB sucks, and it doesn't hold much.

8gb will hold about 2000 songs. 7000 photos, or 8 hours of video. It cannot hold 2000 songs AND 7000 photos AND 8 hours of video. It would be a combination of all that stuff. So if you've got a lot of music that will mean there is less available space on the iphone for everything else etc. Good luck I hope this helps!

How do I activate my iPhone 4 without a sim card?

My sister gave me her iPhone 4 cause she got a new one, and I just restored it cause I wanted to get rid of all the photos she had on there and apps and stuff, but when I go to activate it, it says something about a sim card and all. I don't have a sim card nor does my sister or anyone else, cause i just want to use it like an ipod, I'm not going to call anyone or anything. I can't see a skip button or anything on the page either. Could someone help? This is just an iPhone 4. Not an iPhone 4S or anything
P.S I do have wifi at home and I've put the password in, but it goes to 'activating your iphone' then it says there is no sim in the phone.

I would suggest going to the apple store and asking them about this. Their really helpful!
