Best photo/video editing apps for iPhone/iPod?

Kaylin

I really like making edits. My favorite are the ones with quotes that people add onto pictures from books and movies and so on. I can't find any cool apps like the ones people use to make them though, so what are the best ones? Are any free? Thank you (:

Answer

Answer
There are tons of great photo apps for the iPhone and iPad.

Photo Editor - Snapseed is a comprehensive photo app that you'll wind up using every day. Photoshop mobile is another editor to consider. And Befunky is great too with the addition of more fun editing features.

Swap Photo Parts - With Juxtaposer you can take one part from one photograph and add that part into a second photo.

Panoramic Photos - Pano features the ability to take 360-degree panoramas using up to sixteen photos with a semi-transparent guide helps you line up each shot perfectly. With Pano's alignment tools, blending, and colour-correction algorithms provide you can really get seamless images in just seconds - I have been amazed.

Text on Photos - Photophrase blends beautiful typography with pictures to create unique images you can share. You can use Photophrase for photo captioning, photo sharing, and just plain photo fun.

Funny Faces - Faceship offers tons of face-changing effects! Besides the TinyFace, effects include a bubbleface, square head, nerd glasses (with enlarged eyeballs!), catface, the best moustache ever, some crazy mirror effects, horrible zits, sad face and happy faces, fat neck, and a bunch more. Another option is PhotoGoo which lets you turn your photos to Goo! Create funny facial expressions from your friends faces.

Un-crop - If you've ever taken a hasty photo on your phone and didn't leave enough room on the outside, AntiCrop is the app can uncrop those photos by filling in the edges with just a few swipes.

Best photo effect apps?

Maddy

I really like editing pictures. But I don't know what apps to get? I like editing pictures with wings on people's backs, or a galaxy background. Anything neat. Like fire coming out of a Nutella jar. What are some cool apps that can do that? Thanks c:

Answer
For your style of editing, try Image Blender. It is $2.99, and it works exceptionally well.

"This is a simple and clean iPhone and iPad app with a single purpose, blending together images. You can use multiple blending modes (like Multiply, Overlay, Screen and many more), move, rotate, resize and mask the top image.

This can be used for a variety of things, like:
- Creating your own personalised filters
- Choosing where and how much to apply of an effect from other applications (like partly black and white images but with everything)
- Double exposure with control
- Creating collages

It outputs the same resolution as the background image you give it. As default no EXIF data is transferred but you can choose to transfer it from either image in settings. If you want to add more than two images, tap & hold and choose flatten, and your current blend will be saved as the background so you can keep adding images.

Many features is hidden under tap & hold actions, please try it on various elements.

Some other smaller features is
- Camera+ support
- PhotoAppLink support
- Pogo-connect support
- Copy & Paste images"

Try it out! I love it!

So I'm looking for apps for iPhone. I wanna do edits on instagram. Like cool ones. Not just filters. If you go to some instagram pages, they had photos of eyes and like, the eyelashes turn into trees. Stuff like that. Abstract things. I use photoshop and filterstorm and overlay. But I'm looking for apps. Preferably free but if not that's okay. Any ideas?

samsung galaxy s2 good phone?

hahaha

im due for an upgrade next month and im looking at the samsung galaxy s2 as my new phone, but im still considering other phones like iphone 4s and htc vivid. but im a teenager and like texting, internet, calling for parents, music (have an iPod), alarm, some games, and reminders/notes. my samsung impression did alright at these things, but the games and reminders were bad, and calling has been acting up recently, like i cant hear anyone on the other side, but they can hear me. so would samsung galaxy s2 be a good replacement? both my parents have iphone 3gs and will probably upgrade to 4s anyways so might as well be different, plus i want to make my phone feel unique.

Answer
If you want to make your phone unique you should definitely go for the S2. Android (the operating system the S2 runs) is known for being the most customisable mobile operating system. You can change everything from the keyboard to the theme the applications you use to message, take photos, listen to music and much more. You can even change the software of the phone itself it you have the know how. The S2 does everything on your list and much, much more. The Android Market is nearly as well populated with great games and apps as the App Store is these days, so you won't be lacking there. There are light years between the Samsung Impression & the Galaxy S2. Android also has great notifications (which Apple copied with its latest software update).
The iPhone 4S is also a great phone, but there is very little you can do to make the phone your own (change your wallpaper, and um...?) The iPhone 4S has a much smaller screen than the S2, so you might want to take that into consideration.
I wouldn't bother considering the HTC Vivid. HTC do produce good phones but the screen is less vibrant and vivid than the S2's. Also, HTC has an overlay called HTC Sense which I find unattractive.
But to be honest, all of the phones you are considering are excellent, though I see no reason not to choose the Galaxy S2. Do not let your bad impressions of the Impresssion put you off. Samsung's hardware and the Android OS are incredible and after using a number of phones over the past year (including an iPhone 4 and even a Windows Phone 7 device) nothing touches the Galaxy S2.
If you want a the simplest phone, go for the iPhone. But it's just like everyone else's iPhone. The Galaxy S2 can be as simple or complicated as you like. It can be made to look, and feel exactly how you like, with minimal little effort. So it's down to personal preference.
