Know of any great photo editing software?
Questionin
I love editing the pictures I take, but right now I am limited to only being able to edit the ones I take on my iPhone. I have several apps like Instragram, Camera+, and PerfectPhoto. I LOVE them. You can't even tell that i took them on my phone instead of a fancy camera. I would love to be able to get one for my computer like Photoshop. Imagine what I would be able to do with the pictures that I take from my camera! If they turned out amazing on my phone, they are bound to turn out even better with a camera. I was just wondering if anyone would be able to recommend any good photo editing programs. I would like to get Photoshop but am not sure if I want to fork out 100s of dollars for an editing software unless I really have to. What are some good cheaper ones or even better yet.., maybe free ones? I would perfere a downloadable version v. a C.D. version but I would honestly be good with anything. Any advice would be great! Thanks in advance for your answers!!!

You say you have a computer, if so then you can get a wonderful, and very capable FREE program called GIMP! It is free because it is known as an Open Source program - that is one where the source code is available to anyone who wants to use it and add to it.
So, many talented programmers contribute by building features into it and, now, it is really remarkably like a PhotoShop clone! In fact, you can even get a plug-in interface which makes it look like PS!
So, just do a search on your computer for GIMP and you'll be editing like a pro just as fast as you can learn to use it - and there are many tutorials all over the web to help you learn.
Also, for a less capable but one that is easier to learn and is a viewer and fairly simple yet pretty good editor, I recommend FastStone editor. It is distributed as a complete program which you can use for free if you like. If you really do like it and get a lot of use out of it, the distributor would like you to contribute some money to further his efforts. I sent about $20 to him for my copy because I think it is terrific!
So get on the Internet, go to your favorite search engine and type in GIMP, the type in FastStone and download, install, and you'll be in for a real learning experience.
Good Luck,
