I see all these people's pictures and they're amazing, for example, I will see a picture of someone, and it looks like they've drawn a cartoon Indian hat on their hand. Another one looked like a girl courtseying, but her skirt was see through, and you could see the city. One more was a girl, with a shape outlining the picture, like a triangle or circle, and it had this really cool text. And the last one I saw that I liked, was a girls eye but her pupil had the galaxy pattern. Does ANYONE know what apps they do to use these? Thanks!

Answer
Citrify, iPiccy, PicMonkey, Ribbet, Picadilo, Fotor, FotoFlexer or Lunapic are great all round web based and FREE editing tools. Adobe, makers of the expensive Photoshop, has a free website version in Photoshop Express. If you are a former Picnik user than Picmonkey and Ribbet will be your best choices.

If you need/want more features downloading GIMP is a great options. Still free, but you have to download the software.

There are tons of great photo apps for the iPhone and iPad.

Photo Editor - Snapseed is a comprehensive photo app that you'll wind up using every day. Photoshop mobile is another editor to consider. And Befunky is great too with the addition of more fun editing features.

Swap Photo Parts - With Juxtaposer you can take one part from one photograph and add that part into a second photo.

Panoramic Photos - Pano features the ability to take 360-degree panoramas using up to sixteen photos with a semi-transparent guide helps you line up each shot perfectly. With Pano's alignment tools, blending, and colour-correction algorithms provide you can really get seamless images in just seconds - I have been amazed.

Text on Photos - Photophrase blends beautiful typography with pictures to create unique images you can share. You can use Photophrase for photo captioning, photo sharing, and just plain photo fun.

Funny Faces - Faceship offers tons of face-changing effects! Besides the TinyFace, effects include a bubbleface, square head, nerd glasses (with enlarged eyeballs!), catface, the best moustache ever, some crazy mirror effects, horrible zits, sad face and happy faces, fat neck, and a bunch more. Another option is PhotoGoo which lets you turn your photos to Goo! Create funny facial expressions from your friends faces.

Un-crop - If you've ever taken a hasty photo on your phone and didn't leave enough room on the outside, AntiCrop is the app can uncrop those photos by filling in the edges with just a few swipes.

How to sync iPhone with new itunes without losing data?

photo apps in iphone on ... iPhone AppStore logo, iTunes backups, (iPhone Nano?) | iPhone World
photo apps in iphone image

Kate M

My laptop broke and so now I have no itunes to sync my iphone with. Luckily I have all my music on a different computer. Is there a way I can sync my iphone with the other computer (to update etc) without losing all my data: contacts, notes, photos, apps etc?

Answer
Auto sync with new computer will erase iphone contents those not purchased from itunes store, but the contacts will be kept, notes not sure.
itunes blocks this function since itunes is the tool with one way to transfer files from itune to iphone. you must utilize other tools to achieve that. There're couple of tools for transferring the files between iphone and computer (for backup)depends on your demands, e.g transfer only songs/videos, transfer photos etc. You can have a look of below review site, hope it useful.

WishIwereE

I recently got the verizon iphone four and i love the camera, but my dad wants to borrow my phone sometimes and I want to be able to take pictures without the fear of him looking through them, so I was just wondering if there was an app where I could keep my photos instead of in my built in photo gallery. It doesn't need to be protected or anything, just a secondary storage unit.

Answer
You can try this app, Camera Plus Pro, has a secondary library, called the quick Roll, You can move all your private photos from the Camera Roll into this app. And also password protect your photos. This way better since, it doesn't scream "Private Photos Here!!!!" that would just make anyone curious rite? Try it, great app, lets you do tons of fun stuff to your photos too!

Kaylyn Geo

i was thinking of getting one but i would like to know which one is better screen wise battery life storage and capacity for books etc. what are the extras like wifi and listening to music which one is higher quality and better all together to buy

Answer
Hi, Kaylyn George, I think you're confused as Kindle is now 3rd generation. When choosing an eReader, you need to consider not only the physical properties of the device, but also compare eBook stores behind it. Sony has never been a contender for any comparison by anyone as they only have like 5 books in their Ebook store and their devices are way overpriced for what they offer. Borders is behind Kobo/Cruz devices in US and as you might of heard, Borders is on a brink of bankruptcy. Kindle and Nook are the only devices to be considered as their eBook stores have over a million of free public ebooks as well as over a million of ebooks that you need to pay for available.
Having that out of the way, you should then decide which screen you want: e-Ink or LCD. It depends on what you're reading. If just black & white novels then the better one would be Kindle or e-Ink Nook from Barnes & Noble. If you read electronic magazines or college text books with a lot of color graphs and charts or childrenâs' books with a lot of pictures then the better would be Nook Color LCD from Barnes & Noble. Then, you should understand the limitations of e-Ink eReaders - they are limited to be black & white for now they "blink" at each ebookâs page turn, they're not too good for web browsing, they need external light source for reading when dark, and they cannot handle videos.
Whichever device you choose, here's the advantages of the Nookâs (both e-Ink black & white and Nook Color) over Kindle:
- Any Barnes & Noble store provides free Wi-Fi to Nook's
- Nook allows to lend books for 2 weeks to friends or to your other devices that run B&N app (PC, MAC, Android phones, Apple iPhone and iPad, etc.) Barnes & Noble allows (when you walk in with the Nook to B&N store) to read any available eBook for free while in the store via free provided in the store Wi-Fi. With Nook, while in BN store you get exclusive articles from top authors, and great offers including cafe treats and unique deals.
- Nook (unlike Kindle) can be used for library ebooks.
- Nook (unlike Kindle) can be used for renting text-ebooks.
Nook Color is worth mentioning separately as this is a hybrid Android eReader/tablet device, something between Kindle and iPad. Even though Nook Color has LCD touchscreen, it's a new generation screen which is anti-glare coated and is better performing in sunlight and produces less glare all of which are dooming reading on iPad. Also, the screen is amazing and readable/viewable at wide angles.
Overall, Nook Color is more than e-Reader as you can also watch video and use Android applications on it. It's a hybrid device, much more than just an e-Reader but not a full tablet as it doesn't have a camera. If all you want is to read novels, Kindle (or the original e-Ink Nook) might be better for you. If you want something more from your device (color graphs and charts of college text books, childrens books, photos and videos, web sites in full color) at half of the price of iPad or Galaxy tab, then Nook Color is your best bet.
Nook Color has several apps that already come with the device (Pandora Internet radio, QuickOffice, etc.) Also, Barnes & Noble recently released Nook SDK and Nook Developer platform that will allow most of the existing 100,000 Android apps be ported to it. Also, you can use the Social Settings screen to link your NOOK Color to your Facebook account and your Twitter account. You can also import all your contacts from your Google Gmail account. Once you have linked to Facebook and Twitter and set up email contacts, you can lend and borrow books, recommend books, and share favorite quotes with your friends.

Can I rent ebooks from my local library with a Nook?

I got my mother a Nook and she said she wanted a kobo because she heard you can check out books from the local library on it. Is it not possible to do that on a Nook as well?

Everything I read leads me to believe the Nook is a much better ereader but if it lacks this one key feature I'm going to have to hunt for my receipt.

Answer
Hi, Robin, Nook or Nook Color allow to check out ebooks from libraries that provide such service.

What should i get for my birthday?

Jeffrey

I like electronics, nerf guns, and wii and ds games. I might of forgot to mention something so if you think i might want it go for it. I was thinking about a Nook Color. I already have a Ipod.
Nothing to expensive 150$ max.

Answer
Hey, Jeffrey, you can get Nook e-Ink (3G or Wi-Fi) or Nook Color Android tablet (Wi-Fi). 3G means the internet connection is included for free for the life of the device thus you can download a new book even when you're walking on the street. Wi-Fi means that you need to have access to wireless hotspot - examples would be any Barnes & Noble store that provides free Wi-Fi to Nook's or any Starbucks or any McDonalds or airport or any other place that provides free Wi-Fi service or your homeâs wireless router - to download eBooks. Again, it's only needed to download eBooks or browse the Internet. Once you downloaded the eBooks to your device, you don't need Internet connection to read them. There's over a million of free public ebooks as well as over a million of ebooks that you need to pay for available through Barnes & Noble eBook store. Prices are generally much lower than for physical books.
I bought an iPad and a wireless keyboard. But I want to buy a mini Mac and use my iPad as the sole monitor. I bought the iPad first. I don't own a computer already.

Answer
iPad can be used as an extended display but not as direct monitor.

If you have bought an iPad and you don't have computer then use iPad as computer. Buy camera connection kit so that you may connect camera and memory card to it to import photos and videos directly.
You can connect any camera,USB keyboard, memory card,Memory cards hub,USB headset and many other devices.

Get app GoodReader to download anything from website directly to an iPad.

If your works are not overly complicated , you actually don't need a computer. iPad is self sufficient.

You can buy music/ video/ apps directly from an iPad. You can even download music/ video directly from any website. if you get app like Downloader and GoodReader.

Get app Pages,Number and Keynote ifnyou want to create Word document, spreadsheet and presentation.

Photogene photo editing app is better any free software on PC.

iMovie is on it's way for video editing but for the time being you can get Reldirector

You can watch movies on Netflix using your new or existing netflix account. All the latest TV shows from Abc channel are available for free on iPad. Today I watched The Gates.

TV shows from CBS is also available.

If you wanna fill a form and then sign and for thatcyou need print out, get app Zosh, it lets you fill out the form and then sign by the finger so you don't need a print out.

But if you need to print then , then. You need to get Wi-Fi printer and App Print n Share and then you can print any document directly from iPad.

iPad can pretty much do everything that a regular user would do on laptop on daily basis.

If you don't know how to do something on iPad. Write me I am sure I will be able to find a way out.

Since you say APP, you might also mean an iPhone or iPad.

Answer
I use superimpose to add the galaxy background, it's a really good app but it costs 99 cents so another app the does basically the same thing is picmix lite it's free and very good. Another app is pics art. And pic collage. All those apps add galaxy , they are all free except superimpose. I hope this helps.!(:
