How to download an app without getting the newest version of it?

i currently own an ipod and i have the normal instgram app. Instgram updated, and my friend got the update and showed me, and i absolutly hate it. You cannot ajust photos before uploading and it makes you crop even more of your photo out. i really like the one i currently have, and i do not want to update. BUT im getting an iphone 5 in 3 days and i know when i come to download instgram it'll give me the newest version. Which i do not want. Is there a way i can download the app to my iphone 5 without getting the latest verson of it? Thank you in advance!

Is your current iPod backed up to a computer? If so, then there is your copy of the Instagram app that you want. Just sync your new iPhone to the computer. It will have the version of Instagram that you want.

Make sure that you make a backup copy of the app, too. Then you have a fix if you ever accidentally update Instagram.

Apple does not offer older versions of apps. The storage space for multiple copies of millions of apps would be overwhelming.

I was wondering this, but I'm not sure what app to use or if I have to do it manually by my computer.
The phone I'm trying to transfer it to a HTC Radar 4G for T-Mobile if that helps you answering the question.
