How do I delete photos synced to my iPhone?

iphone photo sync software image

Ashley

A week or so ago, I synced some pictures from my computer to my iPhone so I could email them to a friend. Now, I don't know how to get them off my phone. Help, please. :/
Photos synced from iTunes can't be deleted like photos taken or saved. No, I'm not THAT technologically challenged.

Answer
connect your phone to the pc, open the iTunes software then click on the "Photos" tab. Check the selected photo folder on your computer and open the sync photo directory. Delete all the custom made photo folders on your computer then click on "Apply" button to start syncing your iPhone.

How do you backup photos from an iPhone onto the computer?

CNB_44

My iPhone is running out of memory and most of it is taken up by my pictures. I wanted to put all of my pictures onto my computer then delete them from my phone but I don't know how.

Answer
You may try iPod/iPad/iPhone transfer software, it's a nice iTunes alternative that can help you upload music and video to iPod/iPad/iPhone, I always use it to sync my iPod when my iTunes can't recognize my iPod, it's easy to use and works pretty well

htc inspire or samsung focus or iphone 4?

iphone photo apps multiple pics image

mkth

I am planning to buy a smartphone this weekend. It will be my first and I am think I will be using it for email , facebook etc, taking pics ,music and browsing the web when needed . Maybe more in the future that I will know. I am not really what one would call a tech savvy person. These phones all have features that seem attractive :

Htc inspire : 4G network , 8 megapixel camera but may be too complex for me.

Samsung Focus : seems user friendly but I am concerned about what some people have to say abt its lack of features

Iphone4 : looks good, seems user friendly , lots of apps. But if I buy now I dont want my phone to be outdated when the new improved Iphone 5 comes out soon.

All suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Answer
Samsung Focus.

Samsung Focus runs Windows Phone 7 which is center around multimedia and social work experience. The people hub integrate Facebook right into your phone book and provide status update. The phone has a camera button which allow you to take photos without unlocking your phone. The Zune media player import all the information about the song including the artist background, song information, and related song information. Email is very easy to use thanks it its simplistic looking design, yet allow me to delete multiple emails at once: a must have feature for me.

It is true that Windows Phone 7 lack some of the features that Android has, such as tethering, but the simplistic and well designed nature that makes Windows Phone 7 easy to use more than makes up for them.

Overall, if you want a smartphone that's easy to use: this is your phone.

i want to kno if the internet works fast?

Answer
The Internet using WiFi on the iPhone is blazing fast! If you use the EDGE network, it is fairly fast for most things so long as you are not downloading large photos or e-mails, and so long as you are in good reception.

The iPhone is an amazing phone, well worth the purchase. I have been using the iPhone since June 29th, and just can't get enough of it. I recall saying that if the iPhone was half as good as the ads show it to be, it would be incredible. I am happy to report that the iPhone is as good, if not better than what was shown in ads. Almost every day, I find something new I can do with it, or a new feature. While there are some shortcomings (no device would ever be perfect), the iPhone is truly an amazing device and I think that just about anyone would love it.

Pros:
- Compact
- Revolutionary and easy touch-screen interface.
- Easy-to-use.
- Quick access to every feature.
- Beautiful screen, easy to read even in direct sunlight.
- Cool and intuitive graphical user interface (GUI).
- iPod, Video iPod, Web browsing, e-mail, and phone all in one!
- Easy e-mail access from multiple accounts (you can get e-mails from Yahoo!, GMail, and many other accounts).
- Allows viewing of various attachments (e.g. PDF)
- Google Maps and driving directions make finding places and adding to your contact list a snap.
- Great widely used applications (Stocks, Weather, Maps, YouTube, iPod, etc.)
- Built-in WiFi (Zoomzoomzoom! Fast, fast, fast!)
- Features can be updated via a simple sync.
- Feels solid, metal-like.
- Scratch resistent screen (although, I would recommend getting a screen protector).
- Fairly good phone quality.

Cons:
- 4 GB or 8 GB may be too small storage capacity for those people who want to carry all of their music, and some videos with them (although psychologically either capacity sounds too low, in reality, even the 4 GB version would be more than enough for those folks wanting only a segment of their song listings -- over 850 songs if you max out the 4 GB -- or put a couple of full version movies and about 120 or so songs, or any number of combination may be just enough for many, if not most, users).
- No physical keyboard (the keyboard is accessed on the screen and would take a few days to get adjusted to).
- Can't attach files in e-mail (although you can forward attachment you receive on the iPhone via e-mail).
- Can't save images that were sent via e-mail.
- Can't open certain attachements (e.g. MS Office, etc.).
- Can't change position of icons and info (stocks, weather) (this will most likely be changed via software update from Apple).
- Can't change ring profiles on the fly (this will most likely be changed via software update from Apple).
- No drag-and-drop capability.
- Can't download pics to use as wallpaper unless its from the camera.
- Email doesn't switch layout from horizontal to vertical like the Safari Web browser does (this will most likely be changed via software update from Apple).
- No back button, have to always press the Home button for the main menu.
- Can't download additional ringtones (this will most likely be changed via software update from Apple).
- Third-party apps can only be accessed via the Safari Web browser (this can also be a good thing as it protects the phone from issues relating to installing applications on a device).
- No SD card expansion slot.
- You have to sync to get music/videos/podcasts.
- Uses the slower EDGE network instead of 3G network (this can also be a plus as 3G would suck battery life).
- Camera does not take videos; no flash.
- Screen smudges easily (I highly recommend getting a screen protector).
- No Adobe's Flash support (this will most likely be changed via software update from Apple).
- Battery is not user replaceable, and would cost $85 to send to Apple for replacement.
- Can't use bluetooth stereo headphones (this will most likely be changed via software update from Apple).

If you use your computer mostly for e-mail and some Web browsing, and are looking for an amazing phone that will allow you receive/send e-mail, browse the Web, and have the best of iPod and Video iPod, then the iPhone is for you. Although it is costly ($499 for the 4GB version, and $599 for the 8GB version), the phone offers the best of all worlds when it comes to multi-functional mobile device.

Although there is a rumour of a smaller, Nano-like version of iPhone with less functionality as the original iPhone coming out later this year in the U.S., a new version of the full-featured iPhone is unlikely to be released in the U.S. market until mid-2008. The European version of the iPhone, offered for the 3G network (much faster than the AT&T's EDGE network) is slated to be released by the end of the year.

I want to find an awesome photo editing app! I've already looked for a bunch and none seem to fit my description of a good app. I want one where I can merge photos together and make it look as if there's two people in one picture, but in reality there's only one person. Please give me some good options. At least more than 3. Thank you.

I have an ipad mini and I really want to get into editing pictures. I havent tried taking pictures from the ipad but i do take pictures from a digital camera and upload the pictures to the ipad. I would like to enhance these pictures and make them really nice. What are some good photo editing apps? I dont want to pay too much for the app. The most i would pay is $10 but I would only pay that much if its a super spetacular app. Also, I need some inspiration for taking pictures. I am a 13 year old girl and need some ideas on what to take pictures of so i can edit them. i really think that this would be a good hobby to get my mind off of the stress in my life. So good editing apps and inspiration please:) thanks

Answer
Pixelmator is good but a little over your budget ($15). For the inspiration check out photography blogs on tumblr or you can go to a big book store where they have a photography section and find photo albums of a famous photographers, they're usually expensive but you don't have to buy them you can just look through the pictures.

Answer
You mention App. that often refers to Phone or Pad device, instead of desktop/ laptop tools,
if so, those can then vary from services for device as Android, or Apple, or Surface, or Palm, or Polaroid, or Sony, other brands, that are separate from programs like Adobe or Corel, or Microsoft, or ArcSoft,
when calling for App, it may help to divulge device used, so not to confuse OS systems as Apple or Windows, or other,

For placing image into another as though holding object, basic tool could be MS Paint, where you open two windows, cut out object with one edit, and then transparent on copy and paste over other window edit, (desktop ) windows

Whats your favorite photo editing app or music app? Other apps for iphone 5?

Ryan

Just got an iphone 5, upgraded from htc evo 4g. (Android users, please don't tell me I made a mistake lol, I am VERY happy with my phone, after all I can sync with my ipad and macbook)

So I was wondering if there is a good photo editing app that offers good editing but easy to use. I like several apps, but I am still looking that one that can do all instead of going back and forth, you know?

Also looking for music apps where I can listen to songs, maybe with lyrics. If it offers to download songs for free, that would be awesome!

Any other cool apps, I should know about?? Any tips for iphone 5 would be great! This is my first iphone so I am very new to it but I am loving it already!

Answer
There are many photo editing apps on iPhone. But if you need something really useful like filters, adjustment options and borders, light adjustments, go for Camera Plus Pro. It is not only a photo editor but a complete photo/video tool that will assist you to capture and share awesome photos and videos.

To know more about the features, here's the link. <www.globaldelight.com/iphone/camerapluspro>

Secondly, for music streaming, iPhone App Store has a good number of apps like
Spotify https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/spotify/id324684580?mt=8
SoundCloud https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/soundcloud/id336353151?mt=8

I want to be able to put the "galaxy effect" in only certain parts of my picture, what apps could I use to do this on an iPhone or computer?
Here's what I want it to look like (in her glasses)
http://instagram.com/p/QgYQhyIJW0/

Answer
You need imaging 'editing' softwarte like Photoshop or Gimp that allows working in layers.

1. Create a galaxy/nebual effect (Google tutorials on doing this in Photoshop, plenty on the web; or download a copyright free image to use)

2. Open base image (eg you) and open image of galaxy.

3, Drag one over the other to form a single file with layers.

4. Use erase tool to remove galaxy from all but the glasses area.

5. Alter opacity of galaxy layer if necessary if you still want some reflection in glasses to show through.

Answer
Hipstamatic ($1.99)
Thereâs a reason Apple chose Hipstamatic as the Best iPhone App of 2010: it creates some really interesting vintage-style images out of your digital photos. Instead of making crisp, clear and somewhat sterile digital images, Hipstamatic creates an old-style look by mixing and matching different effects. The app emulates an old Instamatic toy camera, allowing users to match âlenses,â âfilmâ and âflashesâ -- each alters the picture slightly to give you all kinds of customization options. Hipstamatic includes the ability to grab additional packs of flashes, film and lenses through in-app purchases as well, expanding your options. The pictures that come out of it look great, and using the app feels a lot like the experience of using a real camera, making it both a novelty and a great way to get the most out of iPhone photography.

Camera+ ($1.99)
Hipstamatic is nice, but itâs really only good for making your photos look old. And that leaves out a lot of other great effects that the iPhone camera is capable of producing. Enter Camera+, an app for dealing with âregularâ digital photos of the non-vintage variety. Youâll find a lot of filters and effects within Camera+, along with many features for making your photos better, like a stabilizer, a 6x zoom feature and the ability of using your iPhone 4âs flash as a continuous fill light. Just about everything you could need to execute some quality iPhone photography is on-hand in Camera+, making it an indispensable addition to your app lineup.

iMovie ($4.99)
Appleâs movie editing suite is a powerful tool for anyone interested in creating films and videos, putting all kinds of power to manipulate film in the palm of your hand. It makes manipulating film exceptionally easy -- tap to add a clip to your reel, then drag and hold to adjust its length, add transitions, drop in background music and any number of other additions and effects. Itâs kind of crazy just how much is possible with iMovie, and you donât need to be a film director or a tech wizard to make some really compelling videos.

TuneIn Radio Pro ($0.99)
TuneIn is like having a radio in your pocket at all times, but instead of just tuning in local stations, it can tune in radio stations from all over the country and the world. In fact, TuneIn Radio can access more than 40,000 radio stations from around the world, which you can search through using the appâs simple interface to bring them up by geography, genre or show. The app will even use an iPhoneâs GPS capabilities to tap into local radio stations. Awash with features and allowing its users to listen to just about anything they could ever want to, TuneIn Radio is the best radio app you can get on your iPhone.

Mobile Mouse Pro ($1.99)
Hereâs a simple premise: Mobile Mouse turns your iPhoneâs touch screen into a mouse touch pad. Itâs a great idea, it works pretty well, and using a Wi-Fi network, it gives you fairly elaborate control over your computer from anywhere in the area. Mobile Mouse requires a software download on your computer, but once youâve done that, the touch pad is almost as responsive as one hardwired to your computer. Mobile Mouse also brings up contextual controls for each program youâre using. People who hook computers up to bigger television monitors could find this app indispensable.

NewsRack ($4.99)
Reading things on the go is one of the best uses of the iPhone. NewsRack is an RSS feed aggregator that can sync with other services, like Google Reader, to streamline everything that you find interesting in one place. Itâs a cool system if you use a lot of RSS feeds, or if you like to keep up on breaking news. By subscribing to feeds from NewsRack, you get a constant flow of info, and the app lets you share articles with other people through Twitter and Facebook as well.

FlightTrack Pro ($9.99)
This is must-have travel app for anyone who flies frequently. With live flight status information, you'll be the first to know if your upcoming journey is going to be delayed and even at what gate your plane is waiting. By automatically importing your various flight itineries, they'll be updated in real time so you can always stay on top of your trip. FlightTrack also integrates nicely with the popular TripIt app and offers beautiful zoombable maps complete with weather radars. These maps are even available offline so you can view them when you're away from a connection or stuck at the gate. Push alerts keep you readily informed and the app will even help you find an alternative flight if necessary. Seriously, FlightTrack has it all and is a must for travelers everywhere.

Need help with Cydia themes.?

photo editing apps on cydia image

Jeffrey An

I have just recently jailbroken my iPhone 4 on 4.2.1 with the new greenpois0n jailbreak. I have been trying to add themes, but for most of them, the "Photos" app, the "Maps" app, the folders, and some Cydia apps are not becoming customized. Any idea why?

Answer
Yea, the themes don't include customized icons for thosse apps within the filesystem. If you know how to manually ssh into the iphone filesystem you can edit the theme.

Download afc2add from cydia, and the ifunbox onto your computer. Plug your device into the the computer, and using ifunbox navigate to the folder

Var/stash/themes/"theme name"

Then navigate within the theme to add the missing icons. An easy google search will find icons for every app. Just download it, and put it in the correct folder. Make sure it is 4.0 compatible theme icon, and when your done respiring your device & your good.

itouch app question, involves installis?

Q. my JAILBROKEN itouch has problems with some apps like resident evil and freeballin. the problem is that when i tap the app to play it loads and then brings me back to the main screenn,, fml. lol how do i fix it. then how do i use ssh to customize my itouchs background. also how do i play quake on my itouch
wat if its off installis or cydia

Answer
If the ones you purchased from App Store are crashing just re-sync it on a computer that is signed into your iTunes account.
Don't use SSH to change the background, either find a background in Winterboard or set a saved photo as the background (Winterboard>User Wallpaper)
Look up the Quake thing.

EDIT: If it's off Cydia or Installous I'm not sure... Maybe re-install. If it has never worked in the first place, it might be that the app is not compatible with your firmware. for example, if you have 2.2.1 firmware and downloaded apps made for 3.0.

I want a DSi and i want an ipod touch Witch should i get?

3d photo editing apps image

Craig

I have been really wanting a Dsi but i know nintendo is making a 3D ds or something like that, but i also have been really wanting an ipod touch really badly so witch one should i get? Also witch one would be cheaper?

Answer
-they are around the same price, not a big difference, but i think the ipod touch costs more.
-i would get the ipod touch bc:
*u can download games (just like dsi)
*u can store lots or music, video and photos
*u can get on the internet
*u can even text message if u get the write app (but it's not that cool because u have to text the person first and u have a different number each time)
*u can do a lot more u just have to buy the apps but u can get a lot of cool ones for free.

on the dsi:
-u can take pics, and edit them
-u can get on the internet
-u can put music on there with a sd card (u have to purchase one)
-phictochat

*i would go with the ipod touch because u can do a lot more. the only thing u cannot on the ipod touch but can do on the dsi is take pics but u can store a lot of pics.

Hope this helped.

What is the difference between unblocking and jailbreaking a cell phone?

best iphone photo processing app on Medical Careers Reviews - TopTenREVIEWS
best iphone photo processing app image

Rick

What is the difference between unblocking and jailbreaking a cell phone. (I have an iphone 4s). Is there an advantage? and if for some reason I find that I don't need it, can I reset it to its original factory setting?

Answer
Unlocking (rather than unblocking) is a term used when you remove the carrier lock from a phone. What that means is a AT&T iPhone will only work on AT&T service however if you unlock it, it will now work with other gsm carriers like tmobile or foreign carriers.

Jailbreak is the process of hacking into the phone to allow you to clstomize it to your liking with out the restrictions that the phone was produced with. It basicaly give you access to cydia which is like a third party app store. Some common reason people jailbreak would be to customize their phones icons and to instal mods and tweaks to add cool features to the phone that apple didn't want on it or to even get some official apple apps that usually cost money but instead for free. And lastly if available one of the mods would be to unlock the phone. That's where people get confused.

An unlock may be available through the jailbreak (Cydia) but the jailbreak itself is NOT an unlock.

Typically if you jailbreak and decide you don't want it you should be able to restore it through iTunes but occasionally you may run into problems "activating" it from the activation process that you need to complete after you restore an iPhone. That process was introduced when iOS 5 was released. There's a lot of factors that pertain to whether or not a simple restore would fully clear the jailbreak and let you activate it normally after the restore. If you're having someone do it for you then it's best to ask them that question. I kinda stopped keeping up on jailbreaking news and stuff about a 8 months ago and things may be different now but what I explained above regarding the definition of unlocking and jailbreaking is still true.

And lastly (sorry I know I'm rambling) you ask if there's an advantage, of course there is. If you plan of switching carriers but wanna keep using your iPhone then an unlock would be required.

As for the advantages of the jailbreak, that's endless. Anything from small tweaks like having a five icon dock rather than four to being able to remap your hard keys to do different actions such as using you volume button to snap a photo (i know its available on stock iphones now but thats been possible through the jailbreak long before apple made it a feature) to even having the ability to download 5 dollar apps for free (keep in mind that's still considered piracy). I personally love having a jailbreak but there are downsides, for example it does make your device a bit unstable if you don't know what you're doing and go download happy and download tweaks and stuff that may not be compatible with your firmware version and also you can't update the firmware without losing your jailbreak and having to rejailbreak it.

Answer
The best one I have found is Jeego. It has a load of free animated ecards on its website plus a number of apps that you can download to your phone. You can post them to Facebook, Twitter and email and MMS on some phones. It's worth a look - the quality looks much better than many others I have seen. It looks like these guys have deals with Disney and Cartoon Network and others as there is a lot of quality content in there. You can also upload photos and make your own. Works on BlackBerry, iPhone, Windows Mobile etc.

A few of my apps are not showing up on my iphone, does anyone know why?

big1

I tried installing them from the app store within my iphone, it was installing, and as soon as it installs, it disapears! It shows up as installed on my itunes, I tried re downloading the apps, then installing them, nothing, the apps that are not installing are color splash, photo fx, expando, pandora, pocket god, cartoon wars

Answer
possibly you don't have the latest version downloaded on your ipod. some apps require the latest, or they may simply be corrupt.

Answer
There are a number of free image editors out there, both applications and web-based. Each of these is free and has a varying degree of power (and learning curve).

-=+ Web-based +=-
Aviary - http://www.aviary.com/
- Probably my favorite of the online ones

Picnik - http://www.picnik.com/
- Some folks tend to prefer this to Aviary

Sumo Paint - http://www.sumopaint.com/home/
- I use this occasionally, it's got some tools that I like over Aviary

Pixlr - http://pixlr.com/
- Another alternative that might be a little easier to use

Photoshop Express - http://www.photoshop.com/tools?wf=editor
- It's simplified and the UI is significantly different than the Photoshop program. It's not my personal favorite, but it might be worth you checking out.

-=+ Installable Apps +=-
Photoscape - http://www.photoscape.org/ps/main/index.php
- The download link is along the top of the page (I missed it the first time)

Paint.NET - http://www.getpaint.net/
- Paint.NET tries to be relatively simple while providing a fairly powerful toolset. It isn't quite as powerful as Photoshop, but its a) free, and b) has slightly less of a learning curve.

GIMP - http://www.gimp.org/
- I'm mentioning it because it's more or less obligatory. Honestly, though, if you found Photoshop too confusing, I'd steer you away from GIMP for now. It's easily the most powerful free image editor, but it's got a _very_ steep learning curve. Feel free to try it, but I'd really point you towards one of the online ones to begin with.

i think Fotor well be your good choice

Filters: Fotor-PES (photo effect studio) is an app that has a powerful effect box, more than 100 kinds of filters: classic/B&W/LOMO/Vintage/Retro/Scratch/Old Pictrue etc, and especially you could make selection of your"favorites" filters

Add text: Fotor online e allows you to type in bold or italic, use various colors, rotate text and change the opacity or size of your words.

BTW, there are many special works on fotor.com like Montage and Shape Collage, that's a kind of interesting Text work, try it for fun!

you could downlad it at fotor.com for Free, for iphone/android/desktop:)

what app can i use to edit a disney character head over my face?

Answer
Photoshop CS, CS2, CS3, CS4, CS5,
Photoshop Elements - Runs about $79 at Costco. That is what I'd recommend. Once you learn how to use it, you'll have a lot of fun, and be able to take your photography to a whole new level.

If you are talking phone app, I couldn't tell you. However, I've looked at these, and none seem to have the ability you desire.

I used adobe photoshop to download pictures to my computer and they deleted them from my iphone. is there anyway at all i can get them back? thanks soooo much!!!

Answer
maybe, but first look at iPhone options for uploading, and photoshop tool for transferring,
programs don't always default to deleting ,
as well phone should have proper software tools like iTunes for transferring files,
and photoshop may not be best tool for transferring, editing is ok after transferring,

to undelete images from iPhone require Apple savvy tools to be able to read memory,
then undelete, or other option is to transfer files back to phone via iTunes or sync software,

When syncing iphone, something went wrong. Restore, and 300photos were LOST. How to recover deleted photos?

** somewhe

I have been extremely upset, as once as I went to sync my iphone, the backup stage or syncing or something froze my computer and i had to restart etc. etc. So, it said I had to do a restore to get my data back. So i did. BUT, in the 'restore' folder, the 300 something new photos i had taken and were trying to sync in the first place weren't included. So, when the restore was complete, the 300 photos had gone from my phone and were NO WHERE to be found on my computer.

These photos were very important to me and its extremely upsetting to have lost them.

Please tell me HOW TO RECOVER THE DELETED FILES! I know there is software out there, and i tried one but the first step was to identify the 'drive' that the iphone is in when it's plugged in to the computer. But, my system doesn't put the iphone in a 'drive', instead, it identifies it as a 'portable device'. (i.e. not C:/ drive or E:/ drive or whatever, i think)

Please help! It would be much appreciated!

Answer
Plug in your phone right click your phone icon on the left(john's iPhone) the click restore from backup.

Of your new backup was not saved then it may be possible to read some of the data off the NAND flash chip. I recommend consulting apple but if you choose to do it yourself I'd start by jailbreakibg your phone and finding some 'undelete' software for the iPhone filesystem. I'm not sure how all the pictures are stored in the iPhone, they may be stored as weird file extensions or in a packaged file. Just stop restoring or adding anything or deleting anything from your phone. Every time you use your phone you are likely overwriting your old data.

Answer
You can get by with a Macbook. If you have the extra $$ and you want to edit your photos or play around with iMovie and the other iLife apps then you should get the Macbook Pro with a matte screen. I've read that a matte screen is better for editing and easier to calibrate.

Am I spoiled? I try not to be but am I? What do you think?

Okay here is my list of technology:
{ iPad 3 }, I have good grades A- to A+ and I use it for Facebook ( With Parental Permission ) and Google Chrome I have only 12 apps which are mostly stuff like Google Chrome, Facebook, iFunny, Skype, and Draw Free etc...
{ Computer } Which I have had for a very long time and I rarely use it now because of my iPad, I use it when sometimes I need information on an essay but my iPad doesn't have flash so I need my computer to look up information.
{ Small TV in Room } My Tv is not big and my dad gave it to me after he stopped using it and stored in the basement, I have cable so there is not really many shows, just Cartoon Network, Disney, TRU TV, Food Network, Travel ...etc, which I am more than fine with.
{ iPod 4g } To be honest I used to use it for the exact same reason as my iPad, but now I don't use it anymore and my dad sometimes uses it for Asian Cooking Shows. Other than that I keep it in my cabinet and hardly use it.
{ PSP 3000 } I got my PSP awhile ago and I use to play is every single day, but it is getting harder to play because the PSP is an old system and games don't come out for it anymore.
{ Ds Lite } I have had my DS for more then 3 years and I still play it, but not as much I refuse to sell it because my dad got it for me and I don't know why but I would break down if I lost it of if I sell it even though I don't play it that much.
{ Phone } I use my phone to call and text and thats pretty much it I don't play games on it because I don't like playing games on phones, and I don't use the Web Browser that much either, so I pretty much use my phone to call, text my friends, and listen to music.
--------------------------------------
That is pretty much it... and for my PS3 and Wii, I share it with my family like my brother and we both get games for them so I wouldn't really call it mine.
Oh, and for the iPad, Phone, Computer, PSP, iPod I helped paid for because I got good grades and I felt bad when my parents were buying it so I put as much money as I could in to help my parents a little bit, I don't beg for what I have, I earn them with good grades and good behavior, and doing my chores. Since I have all of that, does that mean I am spoiled? I am trying not to be and I am very grateful for what I have and I help my parents out as much as possible. So I have 7 technology total and I do not use 3 of them that much.

Answer
Of course you have a phone, computer, TV, and all that stuff. Most of the kids -- or most of the kids at my school and in my neighborhood -- are like that. As for me, I have a MacBook air, iPod 5th generation, PSP (idk what kind, I got it when I was like, seven or something and I never use it), an iPhone 5, a TV with cable in my room, an AWESOME Gameboy (i love it, seriously), an iPad 3rd generation, three HUGE cameras (REALLY into photography), and lotsa pets. I have 45+ pet rats (don't get grossed out) that I'm selling for $25 each to my friends who need pets, so by the end of this week around 15~18 will be gone. :'( They're well taken care of, though. I keep the girls in two FN (Ferret Nation) cages that I connect with tubes to, like, five 66 qt. bins, and the boys with separate bins and one FN cage. I love them all! I also have a two dogs, two cats, and two horses.
BTW, my family isn't filthy rich or anything. We're just...people. My great uncle is really rich though. I'm not bragging, I've never even met him. :/ I wish I knew him though. He has two Lexus cars and one BMW and this REALLY expensive other car (I don't like telling just anybody). Other than him, my family's normal. Most of my friends are like this too, except for the many pets I have. I'm 13 though. You might be younger or older.
I get all A's too, but I don't think it counts because Asians are smart, right???

So no, I don't think you're spoiled. Your parents just care about you and really love you. :)

Answer
there are number of apps on tumblr posting pictures. they are listed below.

The app also lets you call in an audio post if your 3G connection isnât up to it. The app supports tagging, private posting, and posting to groups. TheTumbler uses an in-app web browser to show off your dashboard. A great option for those looking for an alternative the essential app

2. tumblr gear
TumblrGear makes it easy to reblog and like posts. The app is a great free option to add to your Tumblr arsenal of apps. The app is not as full featured as the essential one. It does a great job at reblogging and liking posts. The app has a great interface and is a must have for heavy Tumblr users.

3. TumbLiking -Tumblr client-
TumbLiking provides a cool way to view Tumblr blogs. The app can do limited posting such as quotes and photos. TumbLiking also does reblogging, liking, unliking, or deleting of posts. 4. PrivateTumblr

Private Tumblr is a well focused and useful app for Tumblr. The app aims to make it as quick as Twitter to get a new post out there. The app features a dead simple UI, which is also optimized to help you post privately. The app lets you post text or photos. Private Tumblr is not perfect, but is a great free option for those needing to get in and out of Tumblr quickly.

BTW what's the cloud? Thnx :3
Oh and what's a mac mini? Should I just get the desktop mac? Please help

Answer
To say an iPad is a computer is like saying a car engine is controlled by computer. It is not really like a typical tower or notebook computer. It has no USB and no Firewire, so the only way to send or receive files is wirelessly or by buying the Apple Camera Connection Kit -- but it is limited to photo and video files. The processor is quite dismal compared with any typical notebook computer (only 1 GHz). RAM is only 512 MB. It uses a different operating system, not OS X, so you cannot use typical OS X apps on it.

Air is lighter than MacBook Pro, because....
-- No optical drive.
-- No Firewire 800 port.
-- No ethernet port.
-- The 13" Air has SD card slot; 11" Air has no slot (17" Pro has ExpressCard/34 slot; smaller Pros have SDXC card slot.
-- The 11" model has a smaller screen.
-- Data storage is by "flash-on-board" like an iPad (no removable HDD of any sort).

Other differences...
-- Less powerful processor
* * Air has 1.6 / 1.7 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 with 3 MB L3 cache
* * Pro has 2.2GHz or 2.4GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor with 6MB shared L3 cache or optional 2.5 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor with 8MB shared L3 cache.
-- Lower graphics power in the 11" Air (256MB compared with 384MB).
-- Lower maximum RAM (Air is "on-board" RAM that cannot be changed or upgraded; 11" Air is 2 or 4 GB; 13" is 4 GB; Pro is max 8 GB).

If you choose the 15" Pro, the specs jump up a whole league higher, especially for graphics. Serious game playing (is that an oxymoron?) and serious HD video rendering start with the 15" Pro models.

Apple is focused on the customer appeal. For Air, it is light, light, light. For Pro it is power, power, power.

MacMini -- out of time typing the War and Peace of computer knowledge for you. See the link below.

You need to stop adding to your list. Make separate questions about each topic. Don't try to cram six questions into one. That makes it mighty convenient for you, but extremely annoying for everyone else, just like certain biological releases in an elevator. We can't offer one answer for 10 points that explains every detail about every product made by Apple. You can read.

Android or Windows 8 tablet?

photo editing app kindle fire on kindle-fire-nook-color-press-image
photo editing app kindle fire image

me, myself

Hi there, I'm currently looking for a tablet. I've never owned one before so I have no experience whatsoever with the gadget. I'm confused as to whether I should choose Android or Windows 8 as my tablet's OS.

One thing for sure, I won't be getting iOS because I have a Lenovo laptop and I want to be able to connect my tablet to my laptop.

I would only use my tablet primarily for reading pdf's and watching videos (such as youtube or flv/mp4 files) and also for wi-fi. I'm not going to use it for gaming or video/photo editing and other stuff like that.

So here are some features that I'm looking for in my tablet for consideration:
- Large screen size (reading & watching videos are more comfortable on large screens)
- Long or at least a decent battery life (I spend most of my time on the road so I won't have plenty of time to charge every now and then)
- A nice screen display (again, for reading & watching video purposes)

That's it. Like I said, I won't be using it to play games or other high-tech utility stuff; only the basic stuff such as reading, watching videos, and wi-fi.

Thank you in advance.
Could you also recommend me the name/brand of the tablets? There are so many Android/Windows 8 tablets out there. Each has its own specs and features. I don't know much about tablets so I'm clueless as to choose the right one for me.
Wow thank you Jdeats. That's some insightful info you've provided me right there. :) Anyway, yeah a lot of people told me to go with Android tablets instead since Windows 8 tends to have a lot of problems that ought to be fixed by Microsoft,

I was initially thinking something like the Samsung Galaxy Tab/Note 10.1, Google Nexus 10, or Asus Transformer Pad Infinity, but I have my doubts though because I heard/read that :
- Galaxy Tab/Note : screen quality is rather poor
- Nexus 10 : battery life is disappointing (plus the charger charges very slowly it's annoying)
- Asus Transformer : sooo.... pricey (plus I also heard that it still runs on the old Ice Cream Sandwich OS as opposed to the current Jellybean - don't know if it would make much of a difference though)

So I don't know....

I've heard before about Microsoft Surface Pro and Amazon Kindle Fire but I haven't really checked on them both. But I do know that cnet.com named Microsoft Surface the best Wind
Oh my previous post got cut...! Anyway, here's the rest of the post :

I've heard before about Microsoft Surface Pro and Amazon Kindle Fire but I haven't really checked on them both. But I do know that cnet.com named Microsoft Surface the best Windows 8 tablet around and Kindle Fire HD the best media consumption tablet.

I don't know, though. I still have my doubts. What do you think?

Answer
First a bit about Windows tablets: Windows tablets actually come in two varieties, Windows 8 tablets which are actually tablet/notebook PC hybrids (e.g. Microsoft Surface Pro) and then those running Windows RT (Microsoft Surface) which is a stripped down version of Windows 8 that looks like Windows 8, but can only run Windows RT apps purchased through the Microsoft app store. The price difference is significant. Windows RT tablets start around $500 ($600 with the keyboard/case attachment) and then Windows 8 tablets (Surface Pro) starting around $900. Windows RT is Microsoft's tablet OS and devices that run Windows RT are lighter weight and are priced comparable to other tablets. Tablet devices running Windows 8 are really notebooks that can transform into heavy tablets. The thing I love about the Microsoft Surface tablets are the flip-case and the integrated keyboard. No other tablet gets this right like Microsoft has done. Also, I like that Microsoft Office is included with every Windows tablet.

Android tablets will give you access to more apps and will cost about $100 less for comparable screen size. If you have an Android phone you'll be able to download apps you've already purchased through Google Play or Amazon App Store to your tablet at no cost. Samsung Galaxy Tab and Google Nexus 10 are two models I would recommend looking at, both will give you access to the Google Play Store with tens of thousands of movies, books, etcâ¦

Based on what you've said you're looking for "using it for the basic stuff: reading, watching videos, wi-fi (web browsing)" I would strongly recommend you look at the larger Kindle Fire HD 8.9". The Kindle Fire HD is an Android tablet, it's just running Amazon's custom version of Android. The most popular Android apps are available in the Amazon App store. On top of being a high quality product the Kindle Fire HD has the advantage of Amazon's huge library of movies, books and music. No other tablet can claim this library and Amazon has not released their video player for other Android tablets. You can rent movies on the Kindle Fire HD that you can not on a Windows tablet or any other Android tablet yet, Google Play and Microsoft's App Store just can't compete with Amazon's library.

So given all of this information I would suggest taking a trip to your local Best Buy and spending some time with the Microsoft Surface, The Galaxy Tab and the Kindle Fire HD.

Best tablet for business user?

Peter Grif

I use a Windows desktop at the office and when I travel I bring along my Windows laptop.

I recently took a trip to FL and brought my laptop and had major problems using a paid service to remotely access my desktop computer. This was an issue as none of my files or information were on my laptop and I am not interested in having the two computers sync as the laptop is a personal computer.

I have been toying with the notion to get a tablet and use that solely for email, web browsing and document editing in and out of the office. I would reserve the use of my desktop for video & photo editing.

Ideally, I would want to change text size, font and color for emailing as well as inserting photos in the email. Flash would be nice for web browsing, but not required. As far as document editing, there must be an app I can download (or one thatâs already loaded on the tablet) so I can change text size, font and color and insert photos.

A 16GB tablet would probably be sufficient, but if the price is right I would consider a 32 or 64GB. Also, I would be interesting in something with about a 10â screen.

I am a previous iPhone 3gs user who just switched to the Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket. I am extremely familiar with the iOS, but should be as familiar with Android in no time.

What do you use/what would you recommend?

Thank you.

Answer
There are Windows 7 tablets, but they're expensive and not that great. If you want to match the OS of your other computers in your tablet, checkout the Acer Tab W500.

Apart from the tablet question, to address access to documents shared across devices, you really should move to a cloud-based storage solution. I like Google Docs. DropBox is another way to go. You'll wonder why you waited so long to switch and gave up having to sync or manually transfer file between devices.

Back to the tablet decision. If you're cloud-based, the OS of the device becomes less important. Consider the leader (Apple iPad 2) or the best of the challengers (ASUS Transformer Prime):

ASUS Transformer Prime Advantages:
+ Display size (10.1 inches vs 9.7 inches);
+ Display resolution (1280x800 vs 1024x768);
+ Can be like laptop with optional keyboard dock;
+ Rear camera (8MP vs 0.7MP);
+ Front camera (1.2 MP vs VGA);
+ Rear video (1080p vs 720p);
+ CPU (1.3 GHz 4-core vs 1 GHz 2-core);
+ RAM (1 GB vs 0.5 GB);
+ Ports (micro HDM, USB, SD, micro-SD vs none);
+ Supports Flash;

Apple iPad 2 Advantages:
+ 3G option
+ Apple's legendary fit-and-finish

And preformed a hard reset on it
When I turned it back on

How can i reset my laptop to factory settings?

Apryl Gris

I have had a MacBook since 2009 and its been acting up a lot. My applications are randomly running and i cant view some of my photos. I don't mind losing photos or itunes because i have them on a hard drive. I would like to just restart my entire laptop back to the day when i first turned it on. Help?
