Jamie

I have the new galaxy S3.
I would like to know how i blurr certain parts on my photos?
Is there any apps with other features aswell that could be usefull?

Anything will help, thanks :)

Answer
Don't attempt to "edit" a photo on a tiny screen via an app.
Use your computer and a real program, that way you'll have proper control over what you're doing.

Adobe Photoshop, PS Elements, PaintShopPro, Gimp or even Photoscape (the last two are free).

Using a website is fine if you only want to do a few photos, but resident programs are the much better option if you have more or want to do this regularly. If it MUST be a free website, try http://pixlr.com/ or http://www.sumopaint.com/ or http://aviary.com/ .

How to edit photos like hers?

Selena

http://web.stagram.com/n/oliviasin/

She literally has the best edits in the world and I really want to know what editing soft wares I can use to do those things? Preferably, the ones I can use online for free (: I don't have an iPhone, so I can't really use those edit apps. I only have an Android phone (Galaxy s3). Help?

Answer
Why don't you ask her?

Here technique and style are unique. For any of us to guess at what she does would be inconclusive and perhaps cause you a lot of extra work trying to emulate her.

My iPhone 3G is really slow. How do I make it faster, it can be from the app store or from cydia.

If it from cydia please list source and package.

Answer
Do you a lot of apps, photos, music, videos, movies? If you have a lot of apps, delete the ones you don't use the most. If you have a lot of photos, store them onto your PC. If you have a lot of music, delete the ones you don't listen to the most. If you have a lot of videos, delete the ones you don't view the most. If you have a lot of movies, delete the ones you don't view the most.

Which Adobe app should I use to update and create websites?

free java photo editing apps on Java , C++ Programming ...
free java photo editing apps image

Heather

I recently purchased Adobe's Creative Cloud with the intent of learning some new design software. I have access to several Adobe apps (Muse, Flashbuilder, Flashprofessional, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Edge) and I don't know which one I should spend my time learning. I currently maintain three websites (that I built by coding in a text-editor). I am interested in making these websites mobile-device friendly, adding slideshows, etc. I don't know if one Adobe app can do it all or if I need to use several.

Answer
Creative Cloud is pretty cool - I hesitated at first, but in the end, even subscribing for a year is cheaper than upgrading my CS5.5 Master Collection, and there's the other programs you don't get with the MC that are in the CC.

Dreamweaver is going to be your tool of choice for more interactive, larger sites for design/coding and maintenance. It's gotten a lot more powerful since it was first released about 14 years ago.

Dreamweaver CS6's biggest improvement is that they've added a feature called Fluid Grid layouts. The biggest problem today (as it always has been) is designing for multiple platforms/screens, and you've indicated that's a major focus for you, as it is for all of us. DW CS6 accomplishes that with Fluid Grid - it lets you design on a layout that will automatically resize itself based on the user's device. Dreamweaver has also moved heavily to HTML 5 and CSS3, to allow designs across all browsers without those annoying code problems we've always had before.

Something they added in DW CS5 was BrowserLab - rather than having multiple browsers on your system to test, you can go to Adobe and see how your site is going to look in multiple browsers instead.

Edge - Adobe's new Edge program (in Preview right now (free download), full version in the fall) is Adobe's push to move into HTML5/CSS3/Java based animations that run on all platforms and devices, which Flash doesn't (e.g., Apple devices). If you're going to try the Preview, it ends on July 31, so download and use it. The full release will be this fall or winter.

Muse - Muse is Adobe's new Visual Site Design program. If you've ever used InDesign for print publication, you can literally design sites visually with Muse. If you want to, you can export the code for use in Dreamweaver (e.g., slideshow), but the code isn't as clean yet. Still, Muse lets you design pretty quickly.

For slideshows though, it'd be easier to use Lightbox, unless you're looking to do an animated slideshow. You could do that in Edge or Muse, then export it for use in Dreamweaver.

Fireworks - Fireworks was initially released by Macromedia specifically as a program for designing interactive web graphics (e.g., Javascript rollovers). PNG is the native format - years ago when it was released, PNG wasn't really used that much. Today, you'd be hard pressed to find a platform or browser that doesn't recognize it. It was intended as a replacement for Compuserve's GIF format, and it's a hell of a lot better.

Photoshop - Photoshop is the one program you didn't mention, and it's one of the most important for overall site design. While you can do a lot in Fireworks, FW was meant for original artwork/vector graphics like Illustrator creates. Photoshop is, and should be used for raster graphics (photos, composite images, original digital graphics, etc.). While it takes time to learn to get a lot out of it, it's worth it to learn the basics of compositing. Also, Photoshop does 3D and has animation support if you're into that.

Photoshop CS6 has to be used and seen to be truly appreciated. Photoshop's Content Aware Tools (Move, Patch, Fill) make work a lot easier. You can literally move objects in an image, or off the image completely - Photoshop will fill in the background based on background pixel interpolation, and it's damned good at it too. If you've ever seen Alien Skin's Smart Fill, it's similar, but more powerful.

Watch the video on Photoshop CS6 I've linked below - it'll blow your mind what you can do in Photoshop these days.

Of course you can always outsource your imaging, and there are plenty of people like me willing to take your money, but it's easier and cost effective if you can learn it yourself. Besides, if design work gets slow, you can always switch to photo editing/retouching to earn some $$.

You should also look at Lightroom - it was designed/developed literally as a digital darkroom/photo processor for professional photographers. It has many Photoshop features for basic image enhancement. If you're working with a lot of images for your sites, Lightroom and Bridge (installed with Photoshop) are programs worth using.

Flash Pro - Flash is great if you're going to be adding animations/movies to your site, but in general, stick with DW and FW first.

Watch this video at Adobe TV on the latest improvements in all of the CS6 programs:

http://tv.adobe.com/channel/whats-new-inâ¦

If you want professional tutorials, you can't beat Lynda.com - the subscription rates vary, but many Adobe video tutorials are actually Lynda.com course excerpts.

Programming games for mobile devices?

SequinShin

I study computer science in college, I'm just beginning and am focusing on programming. I want to start programming for Android. I know Java and C++, bought and read a few How-To books for mobile development. I'm looking to make some cash for programming mobile apps, doesn't matter how much. I think of it as a stepping stone to get started in programming. Some questions still linger though...

Should I program a game for Java first then convert it to Android, or straight to the Android format?
What's a good program to create 2D PNG graphics?
For a high quality 2D game, do I need to program the mainframe with C++ and wrap Java around it, or will Java do the job?
Should I learn Lua? (Theres many Lua files in Angry Birds code which confuses me.)
Currently I use Eclipse but am buying Corona SDK. But I have free access to Visual Studios, Basic. Is there anyway I can benefit from these programs besides developing applications for Windows?

Finally, any advice would be nice, or useful resources. Thanks!

Answer
Q1: "Should I program a game for Java first then convert it to Android, or straight to the Android format?"

A1: Not every program made in java can be converted to android, yes you can use your game logic code, but to do that you need deep knowledge of java and reusable coding. But there are some library which give you an option to build your games in PC first and then port you game to android by adding a few lines of code. So you are able to make your game for PC( windows, Linux, Mac) and Android with same coding. One of them is libgdx. You can get it from here

http://libgdx.badlogicgames.com/

It is an awesome game development library. This will met your all need. It uses box2D for physics and collision detection, Angrybird

Just got an iphone 5, upgraded from htc evo 4g. (Android users, please don't tell me I made a mistake lol, I am VERY happy with my phone, after all I can sync with my ipad and macbook)

So I was wondering if there is a good photo editing app that offers good editing but easy to use. I like several apps, but I am still looking that one that can do all instead of going back and forth, you know?

Also looking for music apps where I can listen to songs, maybe with lyrics. If it offers to download songs for free, that would be awesome!

Any other cool apps, I should know about?? Any tips for iphone 5 would be great! This is my first iphone so I am very new to it but I am loving it already!

What are some good iPhone apps for vintage feel or professional looking pictures?

high quality photo editing apps on The Essays Or Counsels, Civil And Moral, Of Francis Bacon ...: Francis ...
high quality photo editing apps image

Charity

I'm looking for some apps that are similar to VSCO Cam, AfterLight, PixlrOMatic, and Diptic... I really love how my pictures look when they have that vintage look to them. I have an Instagram, and I know about apps like CamWow, Camera+, etc. I'm just looking for some apps similar to these that allow a lot of different, high quality customization.

I'm also looking for an app that has really cool shaped frames and kinda like a mirror effect with your images.

If anyone can help me out here, it would be greatly appreciated. :)

Answer
It should have this app called 'Safari'. From there you can buy a real camera.

Kidding aside, there's no way to get 'professional looking' pictures from an iPhone. If all you want to do is add filters, then Instagram and Hipstamatic are the most common.

Chances are, any good, vintage looking photos you've seen Tumblr and other sites were taken with a real camera and edited with real software like Photoshop.

Is there any apps for the LG Dare phone?

Jey

I want to know if there are any apps for the LG Dare phone.

I would really like a twitter app or radio app if it's possible.

Answer
LG's latest handset, however, dares to take things in a different direction. The appropriately named LG Dare presents a few tricks we haven't seen before in the touch-screen phone genre. For example, you can drag and drop icons to make your own customized shortcuts on the home screen, or you can use a drawing pad to sketch ideas or draw a map, which can then be sent via MMS to a friend. The Dare also has one of the most advanced cameras we've seen on a touch-screen phone--its 3.2-megapixel camera has settings like face detection, noise reduction, panorama photo stitching, and a SmartPic technology designed for taking photos in low light. The built-in camcorder can even record high-speed video and play it back in slow-motion, which is a first for U.S. camera phones. We certainly wouldn't want to call this an iPhone killer since it doesn't have features such as Wi-Fi, and its Web browser and media player aren't as good. However, the Dare is a very appealing alternative for Verizon customers who want a touch-screen phone with a difference. The LG Dare is priced competitively at $199 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a two-year service agreement.

Design
Like all touch-screen phones, the LG Dare's design is dominated by a large display covering almost the entirety of the phone's front surface. Indeed, the only visible keys on the front are the Call, Clear/Voice command, and End/Power keys at the very bottom. The Dare is quite a bit smaller than both the iPhone and the Samsung Instinct, measuring only 4.1 inches long by 2.2 inches wide by 0.5 inch thick. It has a stainless steel border along its sides, and a black soft touch surface on the back that gives it a nice grip in the hand. It weighs about 3.76 ounces, which gives it a light yet solid feel.

The smaller size of the Dare also results in a smaller space for the 3-inch-wide display (compared with the 4-plus-inch displays on the other two phones). Though we were fine with it for most applications, we'll admit that it deters us from enjoying the full HTML browser (which we'll get to in the Features section), since it means we have to do more scrolling than usual. The display supports 262,000 colors and a 240x400-pixel resolution, which results in a stunning and colorful screen with vibrant graphics and clean text. You can adjust the backlight time, the menu fonts, the dial fonts, the display theme, and even the image of the charging screen. You can also choose animated wallpaper if you like

Along the bottom row of the display's home screen are five shortcut icons to the messaging in-box, the phone interface, the main menu, the phonebook, and a favorites menu (which is a customizable graphical layout of up to nine favorite contacts). There's also a small arrow icon on the far right of the display (about a third of the way down), which leads to a list of 11 shortcuts that you can select from 51 possible applications. You can drag and drop these shortcut icons to change the order in which they appear. However, the coolest thing is that you can also drag and drop them directly to the home screen. Simply tap on an icon and drag it toward the home screen, and let go. You can then arrange the icons anywhere on your home screen as well.

Going back to the Favorites menu, not only do you have a graphical layout of your favorite contacts, but you can also drag and drop them around the screen. After selecting a contact, you can either have instant access to a new text message or an immediate phone call. You can also edit that contact information on the spot.

Another innovative aspect of the Dare's touch screen is the option for a "scattered" menu interface layout. You can then drag and drop the scattered icons to new positions in the menu. We found this to be quite fun and intuitive, but can't help but think it's rather unnecessary. We would have been just as happy with the traditional grid menu layout (which is a menu style option as well). Throughout the menu interface, you will see a back arrow on the upper left, which will lead you back to the previous screen, and a Home button, which will lead you back to the home screen.

Like the Instinct, the Dare offers haptic tactile feedback, which gives tiny vibrations when tapping on the screen. It's very helpful when selecting menu options, since it provides a physical confirmation of the selection. You can go through a calibration wizard to adjust to the screen's sensitivity, and you can adjust the vibrate type (short, double, or long) and vibrate level (low, medium, high, or off altogether). You can also turn on "vibration when scrolling," which sets off tiny vibrations when scrolling up and down lists. We actually recommend this, so you know you're scrolling through a list and not accidentally selecting something.

This brings us to the touch interface itself. While we largely enjoyed the touch interface experience, we have to admit there is still a slight learning curve. Often we would select something without meaning to, especially when scrolling up and down lists or dragging icons around. The touch interface is certainly more sensitive than we thought it would be, even after going through the calibration wizard. After a day or two of fiddling around with it though, we learned to adjust.

We found dialing and texting to be quite easy, even with the touch-screen interface. The phone interface consists of the standard numeric keypad, a voice command button, a handwriting button that will let you "write" the numbers instead of using the keypad, plus two shortcuts to the recent calls list and the contacts list. The keypad features nice big numbers, and after you're done dialing, you can hit either the green Call button, or the physical Talk button on the lower left. There's also a Save key for storing new phone numbers. During a call, a few shortcut icons appear to activate the speakerphone, call mute, send a text message, add a note, connect to a Bluetooth headset, and even voice record.

There are several input options for texting. You can either use the virtual T9 keypad, or you can twist the phone 90 degrees in the counterclockwise direction and a QWERTY keyboard will automatically appear. We're then able to tap on each key with our thumbs. Tapping each key will magnify that key momentarily, just like on the iPhone. The keyboard has a dedicated space bar, return button, period, and alias (@) keys, plus a Shift button to switch between capital letters and other symbols. Unlike the iPhone, you can indeed copy and paste text, simply by highlighting with your fingers and hitting a Copy button. However, the Dare doesn't correct your spelling.

The LG Dare has a 3.5mm headset jack.

Another method for entering text would be via handwriting, or a graffiti method. The handwriting recognition works quite well, but we did have some problems with it. For one thing, we had to keep switching modes between capital letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols--it wasn't smart enough to figure out the characters on its own. Also, it's a lot easier to handwrite with a stylus, or if you have long fingernails--using just our fingertips resulted in more mistakes.

The Dare also has a proximity sensor that will automatically turn off the LCD while in a call to prevent accidental touch input, similar to the iPhone. It also has a light sensor that adjusts brightness automatically to conserve on battery life. As mentioned above, the Dare has an accelerometer that will rotate the display 90 degrees counterclockwise for certain applications like the browser, the texting keypad, and other applications. For the picture view screen and the music player, the screen can be rotated 360 degrees.

On the left spine of the Dare is a Hold key, a microSD card slot, a speakerphone key, and a USB charging jack. On the top is a 3.5mm headphone jack, while the volume rocker and dedicated camera sit on the right spine. On the back of the phone is the camera lens and LED flash. There's no self-portrait mirror though.

Features
The Dare comes with a generous 1,000-entry contacts list with room in each entry for five numbers and two e-mail addresses. You can also save callers to groups, and you can pair them with a photo and one of 26 polyphonic ringtones. Other essential features include text and multimedia messaging, a vibrate mode, a speakerphone, a calculator, a tip calculator, a calendar, an alarm clock, a stopwatch, a world clock, and a notepad. More advanced features include full Bluetooth support with stereo A2DP, the capability to use the phone as a modem, and file transfer. There's also mobile e-mail, mobile instant messaging, a USB mass storage mode, voice command and voice dialing, voice recording, and GPS functionality via Verizon's VZ Navigator service. Mobile e-mail is restricted to popular Web mail services such as Hotmail, Yahoo, and AOL, so it's not nearly as robust as using a smartphone.

A nice bonus feature on the Dare is a drawing pad. This pad lets you sketch little doodles or draw a rough map with a variety of pen sizes and colors. You can then send this image to your friends via MMS if you wish.

The Dare has a full HTML browser. It won't support Flash, but that's fine for a phone such as this. As we mentioned earlier, you can rotate the phone to display the browser in landscape mode, which makes entering URLs a lot easier via the QWERTY keyboard. However, the browser experience is nowhere as clean as the Safari browser on the iPhone. Zooming in and out is a pain--we had to use either the onscreen controls or the volume keys to do so. Panning the browser page with our fingers took some time, as the screen responded slowly. Also, since the display is small, we often had to do a lot of scrolling to see everything. It is difficult to tell whihc editor was used and whether it was edited using a mobile apps or on computer.

But you can easily create such mirror effects using iPhone apps. Once mirror effects are done, simply add fine Bokeh effects on it.

How can I do that on my iPhone? What apps?

Answer
You'd need something like Photoshop, Gimp or any photo editing software that allows transparency and multiple layers.

Steps:
- Take the picture(s) you want to edit.
- Find a black stary background
- Find a cool space background
- Put the picture you want to edit as the bottom layer
- Put the space background as the middle layer
- Put the black stary background as the top layer
- Set the stary background to screen
- Merge the stary background and the space background
- Set that layer to screen again
- Then change the hue to what ever you want

There, now you're done. Just export or save where ever you want!

If you're having trouble with this send me the picture(s) I'll edit them and send them right back, free of charge! -- bbutler452@yahoo.com

How to complete iTunes sync?

Maria Krut

Hello! I need some help.

I recently got a new laptop and I transferred all my songs from my old iTunes on my PC to my new iTunes on my laptop (using a USB flashdrive) I want to sync my iPhone with the new iTunes on my new laptop.

The new iTunes on my new laptop has nothing but my music on it, and I'm worried if I sync it, it'll erase everything but my music. (everything as in photos and contacts and apps...)

Please help me!
Thank you.

Answer
You can transfer and merge iTunes on one computer first. One of the easiest ways to transfer iTunes library is by use software to copy the library contents off your iPod to another computer. I recommend iPad/iPhone/iPod to Computer Transfer. It helps to copy all songs/videos/photos/playlists etc from ipod to computer directly and safely.

Can someone recommend me a good print app where i can print out emails and pictures off my iphone 4s?

iphone photo apps 4s on Mainstay applications
iphone photo apps 4s image

Lololl

Hello,

I just got the iPhone 4s and I would like a print app where i can print out emails and pictures. An app that accepts ios5. I dont care if i have to pay for the app.

Answer
If you have an airprint printer, you can print through your phone. Open up an email ( or open op a photo), the bottom bar will have a list of options. If you select the one that looks like an arrow with a box around it, a list of options will come up, one of them being print. From there you would need to find a airprint printer and print from there.

Some paid apps pretty much do the same except they charge you for it.

Can you get a panoramic camera on an iPhone 4?

Q. i want an iphone 4s only because of the panoramic camera on it. i was wondering of i could download an app which would allow me to have this feature on an iphone4?

Answer
There are apps that can do panoramic photos for you. As you may have already know that the 4 does not come with its own panoramic camera like the 4s and 5. Just search the app store "panoramic" and it should pull up some apps.

Iphone photo recovery?

I haven't been able to find a definite answer so far;
I took a bunch of pictures. Then when i plugged it into the computer, it forced an update before backing up. After update, all pics are gone. Please, Please, PLEASE tell me i can get these back.

Answer
There were same several complains from i phone users lately but there is no definite answer up to date. However to make sure that you can still recover all of your photos you must stop using your i phone for a while or your files will be over-written.

I have Stellar Photo Recovery in my system right now I downloaded it free and I only had to pay the discounted price of measly $39 after I made sure that it found the files I needed. I got mine from here: http://www.retrievedeletedphotos.com

You got plenty of options but you must be cautious of what and where you download, free ones might have virus, spyware or malware with them so I don't really recommend it. You can read other trustworthy software reviews such as Odboso and Wondershare here: http://www.photo-recovery-review.com

Can your phone get a virus?

iphone photo apps cute on FFFFOUND! | Agent M Loves Tacos - 9 gifs of cats being cute.

Andrew R

Can my smartphone get a virus from the internet? What are the signs?

Answer
YES!!! It Can! if it does not have any security software on it protecting it.
Your Smart Phone is just like any other computer device. It can receive a virus from webpages you visit and any "iffy" e-mails your friends send you. Any 3rd party apps from unknown websites you may download. Or even that cute Kitty picture your Mom sends you in a text. (if you don't know where She got it, or her phone was already infested when she took the pic how can you tell it does not have a virus?

The ONLY way to tell if you have a virus is to have an anti-virus program running on your phone and the best and cheapest is a program called "Lookout". Cheapest because its FREE!!! they have a paid version that adds a few bells and whistles but the FREE version will protect your phone.

It will also help you locate your phone should it become lost or stolen. You install the program on your phone, and at that time sign up on their website. (<--For FREE) If your phone is lost you can log onto their website under your ID and password then select "FIND MY PHONE" and it will give you a Google map of yours phones location down to the accuracy of your phones GPS which many times is +/- 5 Feet.
You can also ring your phone from that site if you lost it around the house and don't have another phone to call it.
For the paid version you can also remotely ERASE everything on your phone. This would come in handy to prevent someone from accessing all your e-mails and private information. Or photos maybe you should not have. lol You can also brick the phone. that means whoever took it cannot use it at all. or make it squeal whenever its turned on..
I like this added (paid) feature knowing it would piss the thief off not being able to use the phone for anything.

As for telling if your phone has a virus. The ONLY way to know is to have an anti-virus tell you. Sure your phone may run slower than normal, or your friends may be getting e-mails or texts from your phone telling them to go to a website without you actually sending them. BUT MOST of the time you will notice NOTHING and the virus will quietly be collecting your credit card numbers and bank information and be sending it to the bad guys without your knowledge!

The modern Smart Phone contains more computer power that the desk tops of just 10-Years ago.
My advice: NEVER operate a computer of any kind without the proper protection software.

This also applies to the iPhone.
Apple does not advertise it because they want to give the impression that there "stuff" does not get viruses but they Make AND Sell anti virus software for their macs and phones. As more people bought macs it became popular enough for the bad guys to make money off spying on Macs. There are now many viruses written for the Macs, iPhone and iPad's. AND Apples sells the anti-Malware programs to protect their equipment. BUT believe it or not even some of the Apple iStore "GENIUSES" don't know about it. LOL!!! (and I use the term "Genius VERY loosely)

I only work with Android Phones so Here is the best place to pick up a GOOD download of the anti-virus program for Android.

whats the name of the photo apps that can make your eyes that big.. its cute. :))

Answer
Looks a lot like "Photo booth" app for Iphone and Ipad2. These are by far the easiest software to use. There are Photo app's for android as well that you can stretch photo with.

There was a bit of patience involve when they made these pictures. Carefully stretching only around the eyes to make them bigger would have taken a few minutes to do, Not an instant function.

Other Software's Such as Abode's Photoshop Elements can of course do the job as well. But they have a price tag of about $100 dollars to get into, and a little bit of a learning Curve to start using. The Free trial versions of Abode Elements can be found at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_elements&loc=en_us

Hope this Helps.
Sincerely,
Chris
