How to add margin for my photo?

photo editing app mac os x image

Henry06

I have a 640 x 640 jpeg file and want to print it out with exactly 2" x 2", hopefully in Walgreens or CVS.
So I am thinking to add black margin to make the printed size of the 640 x 640 as 2" x 2". But how to add margin? I have both MAC (OSX 10.6.5) and Windows XP.

Answer
If you say 640 x 640, you are talking about resolution (pixels or dots per inch). If you say 2" x 2", you are talking about document size. Any 640 x 640 image can be printed as 2" x 2". Open the image in Preview and go to the menu bar, Tools > Adjust size. Click the drop list for Width > Pixels, and change it to "Inches".

There are a dozen online options for adding layers, such as picnik.com. Any image editing app that supports layers, such as Seashore for OS X, can do this also.

To make a document with several of these passport pictures, open TextEdit, and paste to your heart's content.

What is a good laptop for students majoring in petroleum engineering?
Hi, I am going to be entering college this year to be studying petroleum engineering. I was wonder what laptop should I buy for school. My budget is about $1700, and I do not care if it is windows or mac.
Thank you

Answer
In the past, you needed Windows to run popular CAD programs. Now, most of the popular softwares run on Mac OS X as well, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks. I highly recommend Apple for the following reasons:

1. Durability - Its unibody enclosure is machined from a solid block of aluminum. The result is a notebook that is thin and light, looks polished and refined, and feels strong and durable. Also, the inside components are all custom designed by Apple to fit together perfectly, extending the life of the computer.
2. Battery life - seven hour battery (and it actually is seven hours, I know from experience). If you're taking notes all day this is crucial.
3. Innovative features - The little things do matter. Apple is a company that takes these details into account. Consider the MagSafe power connector that breaks cleanly away from the notebook if you trip over the power cord. This kinds of features are everywhere throughout the inside and outside of Apple computers.
4. Performance - equipped with blazing-fast Intel processors, high-performance graphics, and high-speed DDR3 memory. And OS X is custom-made to take advantage of every bit of that technology. You get superior performance for just about everything you do: managing your photos, editing video, even playing graphics-intensive 3D games.
5. Environmentally friendly - Apple is one of the most environmentally friendly computer companies out there. They're energy efficient and use fewer toxic substances like arsenic and mercury. Also, they're made of high quality aluminum and glass -- both very recyclable.
6. Comes with great software - You don't need to get very much extra software because it's all built in. If you do need something, it's easy to access with the Mac App Store.
7. The hardware and software are designed to work together. Think about it. If you buy a PC, it will be running Windows no matter what. Windows wasn't designed to work with a particular computer. OS X was.
8. Built in security.
9. Automatic backup with Time Machine -- you don't know how many times I've accidentally deleted a term paper or a set of notes. Time Machine has saved me.
10. GREAT customer support.

Those are the main reasons why Mac is a great option and an excellent investment. You pay for high quality. You'll have your Mac forever, whereas most PCs will need replacing within two or three years (in my experience with HP and Acer).

The best Apple laptop option for you is:

13-inch Macbook Pro for $1,489 (the original price is $1,599, you save $110 because you've been accepted to college)
2.9GHz dual-core Intel Core i7
Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz
8GB 1600MHz memory
1TB 5400-rpm hard drive
Intel HD Graphics 4000
Built-in battery (7 hours)

This laptop is top of the line. Very fast i7 processor (with Turbo Boost technology), 8 GB of RAM, and plenty of storage. It's the perfect computer for you.

You can always go into an Apple store for a second opinion. In my experience they're very helpful in pairing you with the right computer for your needs.

I hope this helps!

Whats the difference between and Ipod Touch 2nd Gen and 3rd Gen?

I can't see much of a difference so I don't know what to buy. I know theirs a voice control on the 3rd gen, but I would only get the 8gb so I wouldn't get a voice control. From what I have seen comparing both they both look the same. Can anyone help?
Ben, it's the Ipod touch that I am wanting not a Iphone.

Answer
As rumored, the iPhone's iTunes Store took a step in the direction of parity with its desktop sibling by adding the ability to purchase and rent movies, TV shows, music videos, and audiobooks from inside the phone's iTunes app.

As with podcasts, music, and apps, any content that's over 10MB will only be available to download via Wi-Fi, and not via the iPhone's cellular connection. Apple's also made content available from iTunes U, the store's educational section with classes and lectures from schools around the world.

In addition, the iTunes application will now support users logging into one or more different iTunes accounts, and even let you create accounts directly on the phone. Previously, the iTunes app on the phone pulled its account information from whatever account was logged in on the computer that you were syncing with.

Parental units

Apple also showed off a few additions to the iPhone's parental controls section, most notably the ability for parents to restrict what applications their children can use. This also requires that all developers submit an age-rating for their applications, as Apple senior vice president Scott Forstall later said. The App Store has received a lot of criticism for its issues with its approval process, including some apps that have been banned as a result of objectionable content, even in cases where the content was similar to that being sold elsewhere in the iTunes Store. Enabling restrictions on applications and forcing developers to rate their apps could be a way for Apple to absolve itself from some of the responsibility of policing for edgier content.

Fill 'er up

AutoFill was briefly mentioned in Apple's iPhone presentation back in March, but this was the first time we got a glimpse--albeit a brief one--at what it's capable of. As in Safari on the desktop, not only can AutoFill remember the usernames and passwords for your Web sites, but it can also populate contact information fields on forms based on the information you've entered in your phone.

Tether ball

Apple took a little more time to talk about tethering, the ability to share your iPhone's cellular data connection with your Mac or PC. While the company didn't show us anything about how the feature works, it did say that a number of their partners in different countries would be offering the feature, though AT&T was notably absent. (A spokesperson from AT&T later told Macworld that the feature would arrive, though they did not say when or how much it would cost). Apple did, however, say that the tethering capability would work with Macs and PCs and could be used over either USB or Bluetooth.

Little iPhone lost

Perhaps the most ahhh-inducing unseen feature of iPhone 3.0 was the newly-unveiled Find My iPhone service. Available only to MobileMe subscribers, Find My iPhone allows you to locate your handset should you misplace it. You access the service via MobileMe's Web interface, at which point you have several options. Firstly, the Web page can tell you the location of your iPhone, using the unit's built-in location services, letting you know if you left your phone in the movie theater last night, or in the back of that cab.

You can also send a message to your iPhone, along with an alert sound that plays even if the phone's ringer is off. This can help in situations where the GPS location doesn't: for example, if you've misplaced the iPhone somewhere in your house. The chime can be played repeatedly, enabling you to easily track down the phone.

Finally, if the phone is lost for good, or contains sensitive information, you can also opt to remotely wipe all data from your phone: contacts, mail, music, photos, etc. And of course, should you then locate your phone, all you need to do is plug your iPhone back into your computer, and you can restore from the latest backup.

Language, please

The iPhone OS already supported almost 20 languages in iPhone 2.0--iPhone 3.0 expands that number to about 30, including long-awaited support for right-to-left languages like Hebrew and Arabic. Apple also noted the inclusion of Thai, Greek, and Korean, and noted that every keyboard has both landscape and portrait orientations.

The "s" is for software?

Along with its speedy new hardware, the iPhone 3G S also brings with it a variety of new software features. While these features are included in the iPhone OS 3.0 update, they're only available to iPhone 3G S users.

The 3G S adds new camera features, including auto-focus, auto-exposure, and auto-white-balancing, all of which works in tandem the the 3G S's new camera. There's also a tap-to-focus feature that lets you select which part of a scene you want to focus on. In addition, the camera can also shoot video, which you're able to trim using a built in filmstrip view very similar to that of iMovie '09. Once you've trimmed the clip, you can easily share it over e-mail, MMS, or upload it to YouTube or your MobileMe gallery.

The iPh

What is the main advantage of installing the 3.0 update on the ipod touch?

isntlifegr

It seems that I only paid $10 for a bigger keyboard that should have already been installed on the device to begin with. Unless someone can tell me what the point is for the update, I'm going to find a way to get my money back because this is ridiculous. Apple is such a money racket... and I thought Microsoft was bad.

i took some photos from my iphone 3GS to put in a very important task. i accidentally deleted them and i cant find them. my iphone is jailbroken and i made a backup of the photos but i dont want to restore. i tried ssh into "/private/var/mobile/Media/Photos/Thumbs" but when i open them with filejuicer it turns out those photos were from my iphone photo library not the deleted photos from the camera roll. what should i do? is it possible to recover those photos? thanks

i'm using a mac but i also have a windows on a PC. it would be the best if there is a mac solution/file recovery software.
is there a software that allows me to extract and view the photodatabase in the itunes backups? i don't want to restore.

Answer
Connect your phone to a PC using a USB cable (or take the memory card out and plug it into a card reader on the PC). You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
Then download asoftech photo recovery which provides a free demo with the ability to preview the files it finds left on the phone (or card).

apple ipad 5 user id question?

sam

I have this Ipad I got my mother. everything works great. We had the Ipad not plugged into a pc computer or any computer for that matter. We got her apps, set up her account and everything was grand. I recently plugged her IPAD 5 into a pc computer, sync some pictures maybe one movie onto it. next thing I know it's asking for my user name and password every time she needs to update. It asks for my user name and password every time she wants to purchase. And it started downloading all of my apps from my iphone to her Ipad which really doesn't even work (2 different screen sizes)... and it did it all automatically without asking. Its asking for my user name and password for everything. However, only her user name and password shows up in the "settings" button on the Ipad ie (general, itunes store, app store, etc).
So here is what I am thinking, when I plugged this stupid ipad in to this computer. Apple has made a way to automatically screw up your software with any type of device you have plugged in. so Then you have to pay apple even more money to fix this problem.
blood money corporations...
so my question is, does anyone have a answer to fixing this ipad so I can stick it to the man?
and get my apps and my information off of her ipad?
while keeping the photos and movie on the ipad?

If you have tried all these and you are still having problems take it to an Apple Store, or an authorized service provider. If you are within your manufacturer warranty period they may be able to exchange the defective charger, adapter, cable, or unit (it depends on what is actually causing the charging issue.)

What's the best photo editing apps for the iPhone?

E

I've been searching and downloading apps and they're all corny and never do what they say they'll do. I'm looking for a mirror effect app that's simple and free. Please any suggestions will be great!

Answer
There are tons of great photo apps for the iPhone and iPad.

Photo Editor - Snapseed is a comprehensive photo app that you'll wind up using every day. Photoshop mobile is another editor to consider. And Befunky is great too with the addition of more fun editing features.

Swap Photo Parts - With Juxtaposer you can take one part from one photograph and add that part into a second photo. With FACE SWITCH you can do just that, switch faces between multiple photos.

Panoramic Photos - Pano features the ability to take 360-degree panoramas using up to sixteen photos with a semi-transparent guide helps you line up each shot perfectly. With Pano's alignment tools, blending, and colour-correction algorithms provide you can really get seamless images in just seconds - I have been amazed.

Text on Photos - Photophrase blends beautiful typography with pictures to create unique images you can share. You can use Photophrase for photo captioning, photo sharing, and just plain photo fun.

Funny Faces - Faceship offers tons of face-changing effects! Besides the TinyFace, effects include a bubbleface, square head, nerd glasses (with enlarged eyeballs!), catface, the best moustache ever, some crazy mirror effects, horrible zits, sad face and happy faces, fat neck, and a bunch more. Another option is PhotoGoo which lets you turn your photos to Goo! Create funny facial expressions from your friends faces.

Un-crop - If you've ever taken a hasty photo on your phone and didn't leave enough room on the outside, AntiCrop is the app can uncrop those photos by filling in the edges with just a few swipes.

Soda

I see many "phone photography" instagrammers use iPhone. Do most of the people who take photos prefer iPhone than any other android phones because the camera is better and there are editing apps and accessories out there?
Some of my friends said that iPhone takes pictures better than Android. I love photography and am going to buy a new phone. I'm considering iPhone 5S, do you think it will be suitable?

Answer
If you are buying a cell phone for its camera capabilities, you owe it to yourself to look into the Nokia 1020.

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/08/15/technology/personaltech/lumia-1020-a-great-camera-grafted-to-an-oddball-phone.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0
has example shots comparing other phones.

Generally, if still image capture is important, then getting a phone with a convenience feature is not exactly "love of photography"... most folks who "love photography" will use a device primarily designed to capture images...

Is there an app for the Nokia n8 that allows you to tag photos to your contacts?

And I don't mean social networks, but just the contacts from the mobile phone.
I've tried Google, but that mostly links me to apps for Facebook etc.

The Nokia n8 uses Symbian^3.

Thanks in advance!

Answer
scroll to a contact, options, edit, image name: this lets u assign an image to ur contact that will appear on ur screen when u call.
Is that what u mean?

It can be games, tools, or even a photo editing app. Since my phone drains a lot, someone told me about an app for saving battery, but I forgot the name of it, so what is the best app than can save/increase the battery life. thanks

Answer
-"Photoshop Express" is a decent free photo editing app.
-"Angry birds" is an extremely popular game that is free in the Android market.
-"TuneIn" Radio is an application for listening to local radio stations, it uses the internet to get them, unlike the FM radio app that requires you to use headphones as an antenna, which doesn't work very well.
-"Shop Savvy" is a good product search/barcode search application.
-"VoterMap" is a cool app for political discussions if you are interested in that sort of thing.
-"Runkeeper" is a really nice exercise management application.
-eBuddy is an IM client that can connect to anything from AIM, Yahoo IM, MSN, Facebook chat, ect.

Those are some of my most used free applications.

My phone freezes every time I try to post a photo on Instagram?

Sarah

Every time I go to post a photo on Instagram my phone completely freezes, I can't exit the app, and so I have to take my battery out and reboot it that way. Its fine while browsing through the app, taking the photo, and then editing it, but as soon as I hit the next button to add my caption, it gets stuck on "processing" and there is nothing I can do to get it out of that besides rebooting it by taking out and putting back in the battery.
My phone is an HTC Droid Incredible. I've checked my running apps and nothing unnecessary is running in the background so I should have a lot of free memory. Also the app is up to date and everything. Also I checked and my system software is up to date.
This started happening a few days ago and it wasn't happening a week before that, it was working just fine. So Idk....
Thanks, but it didn't work :-/ still freezing even after I uninstalled it and reinstalled it.

Answer
Try deleting it and then re-installing it on your device. If it still isn't working on your device try hooking it up to your device and then downloading it from your computer's app store (most likely itunes) onto your device.

William

I work in the Newport News/Virginia Beach area. What are the must_have android apps for taxi drivers in my area?

Answer
HopStop (Free)

Those of you who donât live in a city, this wonât be an app for you, but those of you in New York City or other cities full of complicated subway and bus routes, HopStop is one of our favorite services. The Android app (m.hopstop.com works as well), but itâs the most accurate subway and bus navigation system weâve used. You do have to know the address of your location, but HopStop does a good job guiding you to more generic locations like an intersection, which some services struggle with. It also maps out how long it will take you to walk around, features a lot of flexible options to modify your route, and lets you save routes for the future and view them offline, which is helpful if youâre underground. Give it a try. (The tablet version is coming soon.)

Weather Channel (Free)

This is the weather app youâll find yourself checking before you even crack the blinds in the morning. Besides offering accurate current conditions with extreme detail down to wind speed, humidity and UV index, the Weather Channelâs app offers hourly and 10-day forecasts for planning ahead, plus advanced features like animated weather radar.

Google Voice (Free)

With Google Voice, you get a free number for receiving calls, sending texts, and even receive access to your voicemail and text messages over the Web. With the Android app, you can even keep your true mobile number private by making outgoing calls using your Google Voice number instead. Another handy feature is voicemail transcription, which automatically transcribes your voicemails to text so you can read them like e-mail.

iTriage Mobile Health (Free)

Created by doctors, this app is designed to give users quick and easy access to medical info as well as nearby treatment facilities. With just a few clicks, users can find the nearest medical facility based on need (emergency, urgent care, pharmacy, etc.) and quickly use built-in Google Maps to navigate to the destination. The app also features a symptom-checker, doctor directory, and information about diseases and procedures.

Opera Mini Web Browser (Free)

We loved the drastic speed boost from Opera Mini on the iPhone, and it delivers the same shot of adrenaline on Android. Opera greases the wheels of the Web using special servers that compress pages prior to sending them to your phone. Besides using less bandwidth, pages appear in a fraction of the time, which makes it the go-to browser when you need to know who won the World Series in 1964, the colors of the Estonian flag, or the population of Miami in a flash.

Pulse News (Free)

This free app is a great reader for those who like to get their daily dose of news or gossip on their Android device. Pulse lets users select up to 30 online sources to pull from, and then creates clean, magazine-like pages that feature thumbnail photos and headlines from each source. Most articles or blogs can be easily read within the app, and the sources update in a flash. Itâs the perfect substitute for your morning or evening Internet scan. Add sources like CNN, Gawker, Salon, Wet Paint, MSNBC, and Mashable.

Is there a web where you describe or email an image of the jewlery youre looking for and they help find it?

iphone photo recognition apps on recognition app for iphone an useful voice dial app for your iphone ...
iphone photo recognition apps image

Engineerin

Answer
Yes. The technology is known as image recognition software, and there are apps for the iPhone or android devices that use this technology.

Google goggles is the most popular. Within the app, you take a photo, and scan it through google. Google then searches the web for similar images, and links you to what you are looking for.

As far as emailing an image, I do not know of any programs like that, I simply say, it is 2013, and if you do not have a smartphone or tablet, you should consider getting one, there is no limit to what you can do with these devices, why limit yourself by not having one?

I just got the iPhone 3g, whats so cool about it, any tricks or tips?

Answer
The iPhone is all about the apps. There are now thousands of apps available for download and I'm sure you can find some that fit your interests. You can access the apps store from your iPhone or from iTunes.

Some of my favorites:

Midomi - Got a song stuck in your head? Don't know what the title is or who sings it? Hum it into your iPhone and midomi will get you the information.

Shazaam - Like Midomi, but better recognition of actual songs as they are recorded. Stick your iphone up to the radio speaker and Shazaam will figure out what song it is.

AroundMe - Useful app that gives you a list of stuff things near your current location. Makes use of GPS.

Ocarina - Turn your iPhone into a musical instrument for only $0.99! This is one of the best virtual instrument apps out there, and you play it by blowing into the mic.

Facebook - Access facebook and do quick updates from your iPhone. Upload photos in the blink of an eye.

Fieldrunners - A fun little tower defense game.

Tap Defense - Another fun little tower defense game, this one is free.

iPint - Drink a frosty glass of beer.

Kotoba! - I live in Japan and as such make frequent use of this excellent Japanese <-> English dictionary.

I need a app that possible to edit photograph specially a insert a png logo on a photograph ? Is there any kind of app that could possible ?

Answer
You could try Photoshop Touch, it allows you to add separate layers to photos. So you could add a layer of a png on top of the photo, reposition it and save it as one photo to your camera roll.

A great app for editing photos is Snapseed. It is simple to use once you have go the hang of it.

I also found a list of great apps that lett you ass watermarks to photos

Was the first iPhone springboard reversed like in this pic?

m00nw4lk

I oftenly see this pic, why are the icons standing on the right side, not at the left one as ios2+?
thanks!

Pic: http://www.iphonebuzz.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/3g-iphone.jpg

Answer
Having used an original iPhone I can tell you it was not right-justified as it would appear to have been in that photo. You can also see here, in the original iPhone announcement, that it was not: http://www.therunningmice.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Original-iPhone-Price.png

I suspect the reason it appears that way in that photo is because there were three more apps to the left of the one in the photo originally that were edited out of the image for one reason or another (my best guess is that they were Safari bookmarks for web apps, since there was no App Store in 1.x, and the photo taker didn't want anyone to see which bookmarks they were using).

im trying to put my photos onto my old hp pc and it says there are no photos on my phone and i know there are. im also trying to get a profile pic but that part is easy.

Answer
u either need a usb transfer cable for ur phone or if ur computer has an sd card slot and ur pics are saved on an sd card on ur phone use an sd card adapter to make it fit in ur computer, then look through the folders to find ur pics. if u use the tranfer cable, u might need to download ur phones software from the makers website or from a link from google.

Answer
You can try this software to backup the stuffs in your iPod/iPhone/iTouch. Recover lost or missing music, backup and restore all of your iPod/iPhone/iTouch content, including your favorite songs, videos, photo files and Play Lists, and that's not all. It is easy to transfer your ipod movie, music, photo to another iPod or iTunes with this iPod transfer software:

Celebrities pictures camera?

Kitty03

I've seen these celebrities picture that have a wide white border and they look pretty cool. Is that with a vintage camera? Any iPhone app I can use for that? Thanks xx
like her profile picture ---> https://twitter.com/BeePrinsloo

Answer
Can you link to an example?

***EDIT: Old Polaroid instant cameras used to produce photographs with those borders. But, very, very few people still use actual Polaroid cameras. Usually, if you see a recent photo like that, it has been taken on a modern digital camera and the person has used Photoshop, or some sort of app or filter to simulate the look of photos taken on an old Polaroid camera and add that Polaroid border. Back in the day, though, those types of photos used to be referred to as simply "Polaroids." If you said something like "I've got some Polaroids of that person." The person you were speaking to knew you meant that you had those types of photos.

I'm sure there are most likely a number of apps you that will simulate those sorts of photos, but I don't know of any off hand, sorry. I'm sure if you search for some using "Polaroid" as a search term, you'll probably be able to find one, though. I've seen quite a number of those types of photos around lately, and I don't think everyone is doing them by hand in photoshop. There must be apps available.

What are some really good photo editing apps?

Hannah

I have an ipad mini and I really want to get into editing pictures. I havent tried taking pictures from the ipad but i do take pictures from a digital camera and upload the pictures to the ipad. I would like to enhance these pictures and make them really nice. What are some good photo editing apps? I dont want to pay too much for the app. The most i would pay is $10 but I would only pay that much if its a super spetacular app. Also, I need some inspiration for taking pictures. I am a 13 year old girl and need some ideas on what to take pictures of so i can edit them. i really think that this would be a good hobby to get my mind off of the stress in my life. So good editing apps and inspiration please:) thanks

Answer
Pixelmator is good but a little over your budget ($15). For the inspiration check out photography blogs on tumblr or you can go to a big book store where they have a photography section and find photo albums of a famous photographers, they're usually expensive but you don't have to buy them you can just look through the pictures.

Does anyone know of a simple iPhone app that allows you to add captions to photos you have taken?

best iphone photo album apps image

HardxCorps

Does anyone know of a good app?
Really all I want to do is add captions to pictures I have already taken (not goofy speech bubbles) just simple captions like on facebook.
This isn't necessary, but it would also be nice to be able to organize my photos into groups or albums from the app.

Free apps are preferred, but I'm willing to pay a little for a quality app.

How far does intellectual property extend?

lightningr

If you don't want to read this whole thing, there is a TLDR version of this at the bottom.

I have several questions about intellectual property and how far it extends so that I can get a better idea of what is and what isn't intellectual property:
(note, when I say "intellectual property" I am referring to the intellectual property of the company you are working for)

1.) Where is the line drawn between trivial/public knowledge and private/protected "property"?

2.) Is it considered theft of intellectual property if, for example, I learn how to create better microprocessors for my one job, and then apply this knowledge to my other job?

4.) What if I design an iPhone app, and I figure out a way to display a video with rounded corners, or a way to flip through video files (a functionality that isn't provided, but isn't extremely hard for anyone to implement). Would I be able to reuse this code at another company or on my own, since I wrote it and figured it out myself, and it's not the main idea of the app?

5.) Similar to question 4, what if the thing that I create is conceptually trivial and the idea isn't really patentable, for example lets say I created a photo album for an app I made when working for a company. Would this photo album be considered intellectual property? Would I be able to reuse this code? Photo albums aren't a "new idea" however I wrote this code for this company is unique, so does this have any effect?

6.) Is intellectual property only considered to be the proprietary information your company tells you that isn't trivial? Is it the "main idea of the app and how things function together" or do each of the separate individual components that make it work (no matter how simple they are) count as intellectual property?

7.) Similar to question 6, is everything you figure out on your own when working for the company yours or theirs? How can it be theirs if its trivial?

TLDR:
I guess what this boils down to is:
- If the idea of something you create (which is a part of a larger project) is trivial, but you do it your unique way that you made up, is this considered intellectual property of the company?

I'd hate to create something simple for a company such as a photo album as part of an iPhone app, and not be able to reuse it in any of my other apps. In this event, when working on a second app, I would have to make up a new photo album, and there are only so many ways you can make a photo album on an iPhone, that it's almost impossible to patent / be considered "intellectual property." I just don't see how it can be counted as intellectual property, since if anyone else created a photo album, they would most likely do it the same way I did it. Would it be considered a company's "intellectual property" if I created it when working for a company or no?

Thank you!

Answer
"If the idea of something you create (which is a part of a larger project) is trivial, but you do it your unique way that you made up, is this considered intellectual property of the company?"
If it's written into your employment contract that anything you produce for the company belongs to them, then it's either a work for hire (US) or a work produced in the course of employment (UK) and thus belongs to the company. The difference is that a work for hire has a copyright lasting 95 years, and the copyright on work produced in the course of employment is based on the author's life plus 70 years.
