Send Pictures or text From Cell Phone to Computer:
a) Go to the "MMS" or "multimedia message" menu on the cell phone
b) Choose the "options" soft key below the screen, or "Add" on some mobile phones and select "image" from the list.
c) Select the options menu again and select "Add recipient" or "send to". This varies depending on type of cell phones.
d) Enter the email address you wish to send the picture(s) to and press "send"
e) That's it, the picture will now be sent from the cellphone via email to the receivers email address where they can simply check their email and see the attached picture

so i just jailbreaked my iphone 3gs (black) with redsnow and it worked i guess like all the code things were on my iPhone now and when it was done it was on the recovery mode or u can say tha itunes and the usb cable so i did the thing where u hold the power and home button for a coulpe of seconds and now it just has the apple sign with that little spinning thing when something is loading

These kind of "what is this user using" questions seem to come up on yahoo answers often. On instagram, you have an easy and immediate way to contact the poster of an image through the commenting system. It would be more productive (and accurate) to simply *ask* the poster how they generated the image vs. asking random strangers here to guess at how someone else's images are being processed or produced.

Regarding interesting photography/images on instagram, here is my standard reply to cover a topic which seems to be hopelessly misunderstood by many instagram users:

In terms of "filters" or other instagram-centric topics, the majority of "good" photos on instagram are *not* being edited on a smartphone/app. They are rendered on a computer and simply copied to smartphone (or emulator) and uploaded with the instagram app. Many "good" photos on instagram are not taken by or edited on smartphones/apps -- users are simply using the instagram app to upload them, but all processing is being done on a "real" (non-phone) computer, using Adobe Photoshop or any number of similar image editors.

Sorry but I didn't see a single image I'd give a nickle for.

In about 99% of your images you have the subject dead center. Boring.

The ones with the sun flare dominating the picture just look like mistakes.

If you're truly serious about making photography a career then you need to enroll in a good photography class and then find a position as a photographer's assistant - even if you have to start out working for free. You'll also need to take some business classes - especially ones that deal with entrepreneurship (owning your own business).

Iphone problem with sending files?

Q. Well, I want to add some pictures off of my computer to my Iphone 3G. I look over to the left side bar, and it says my device is connected or rather, it is showing up. But when I click on the image folder I want to send, I go to "Send to" and then click the name of my Iphone (which is Sapphire) and it says my device is not connected. I've done it while it was syncing, after it was syncing, and before it started syncing. Any ideas? I just want to upload some family photos...

Oh, and I moved the video's and/or .gif's, but it still doesn't show.

Go into itunes, make sure your iPhone is connected, choose your iPhone from the sidebar in iTunes and select photos from the top. Tick sync photos and choose from the dropdown menu for the photos folder or app you want.

iPhone 4s: Difference between Camera Roll and Photo Stream?

I am new to the phone.
Whenever I take a picture it goes on Camera Roll and when I look at it, the picture goes on Photo Stream as well.
This is simple but kind of redundant when I have to delete pictures from both albums.
I am just wondering if I should automatically delete photos off of the Camera Roll once they are on the photo stream... Would that me more efficient and save space? Or does it not matter? Any suggestions?

Camera Roll is the local library wherein all your captured photos are stored. Photo Stream, on the other hand, shows all photos synced to your iCloud account.
To disable automatic photo syncing to your iCloud, go to Settings app > iCloud and switch off Photo Stream.

Help With iPad 2 Choices?

I am going to get an iPad 2 in the near future and I wanted some opinions. Black or White? What Memory Amount? 3G or No? I would like to spend the least amount of money yet still get what I need. This will be replacing my laptop (A Dell Latitude D400) and I do all my schoolwork on it. I also save and edit videos on it. Also, I have been asking around at my local Apple stores and nobody has them and they refuse to tell me when they will get their next shipment. Is there any way to find these things out? Get black if white disturbs you while working on the I pad 2.
memory amount: if you store lots of photos and download/use lots of apps then get a higher amount
3G : only if you use the internet a lot although it maybe faster.

I would personally not use Apple I-pad/I-phone/I-pod touch to replace any PC or Mac because the i-pad 2 isn't a full-capacity computer. Also, I do not recommend the Ipad and would choose Windows 7 Tablet or Desktop or Laptop over Mac or Ipad.

What should I buy: iPad 3 or laptop?

I gave my laptop to my brother because he needs it more in his course. Now, I've been thinking to consider iPad now that I'm going to buy another laptop for me. My course is Education so I badly need apps like Microsoft Word and Powerpoint but apple has Pages, Keynote, etc. I also want to get entertainment (photos, gaming)! Plus, I'm a heavy web surfer! What do you think is a better choice between iPad 3 and laptop (for me)? Thanks a lot.

Consider this, I have owned both Mac products & windows based products & windows beats Mac 10 fold in almost every area you can think of. Think of it like this, when you Buy a Mac all your paying for is the name PERIOD. You could buy a windows based PC for more than half the price of a Mac & you can do everything a Mac can do + everything a Mac cant do.

Ipad's are not very good for nothing but surfing the web & playing little mini games, they lack the CPU power & GPU power to do anything else other than a little photo editing here & there.

Your best bet is a Windows based laptop & I have chosen a few to share with you to take into consideration!

iPad vs Droid Tablets?

So I do photography work and travel a lot with my MacBook pro but it's very heavy for the airport, airplane reading" watching movies for long flights, check emails etc I still have to travel with my MacBook cause its a "real laptop" if you know what I mean... So just bought the last iPad but I am not convinced

Let me solve some of your iPad woes:

Doesn't support flash websites?
It does. There is an app for that, actually multiple apps.
The one I personally recommend is Photon Flash Player Browser for iPad, which supports all flash websites, games, widgets, etc. It is $4.99, but it is worth it, and it has replaced Safari for me.

Doesn't have a USB port?
It does (sort-of). The iPad Camera Connection Kit connects cameras and other USB devices. Unfortunately, it is a separate device you have to plug in each time, but has a much faster transfer rate than any other built-in USB port on any tablet on the market

I do use both of these with my iPad and I am quite pleased with them. I can go on all flash websites on my iPad, and I can edit my vacation photos on my iPad right from my camera without having to lug around my laptop. And Apple has the best and most photography apps on the market, while Android and Blackberry tablets have very little. And the iPad is the BEST for editing photos and using these apps, Android tablets don't have enough performance.

There is one rule in the tablet world. There is only one. The iPad. No other tablet stacks up to the best.

For Android OS : Pixlr Express is the best. Other great apps are PicsArt, PicsPlay, Cymera, Camera360, PicCollage (If you want to make a collage), Repix, Snapseed.

For iOS: Pixlr Express, PicsPlay and Repix are also available on the AppStore. I don't know much about the rest.

For your PC: Try the chrome app Pixlr Touch Up. Or use the website PicMonkey.

Free itunes radio, Airdrop, and call blocking is also now there on iOS 7. Another thing is they also have the Apple stores everywhere to get professional help if you need it. Okay, I'm 15, and I've never owned an Iphone before, I own an ipod touch 4g, but it's turning to s**t, (No IOS 7 too). So I was wondering If I should replace my old samsung galaxy y with an iphone 5, or 4s.

How do I save an animated gif on my Iphone 5?

You should just be able to press and hold your finger on the image over the screen to save a gif picture on your phone. This is at least how it works on Android Phones.

But unlike Android phones, ios does not natively support animated gif's. On my Samsung Galaxy S4, I can simply click on the image anywhere I decide to save it, and it will animate when opened by my photo gallery. But on ios, you have to go through a bit of a processes to get it to animate. There are apps that you can install supposedly, that will allow you to view it from what I have heard. Or there is even a small yet inconvenient trick that might work. (Some people can't get it to work.)

If you haven't jail broken your phone your in luck.

Plug your iPhone into your Mac or PC

Stop your iPhone from syncing once you plug it into your new Mac or PC
(by clicking cancel in iTunes on your Mac or PC)

On the right hand side of iTunes you will see your iPhone device listed

Secondary or right click on it

Click transfer purchases
(you may have to authorise this machine by entering your iTunes user ID and password.)
you can have a maximum of 5 computers that are authorised

If all goes well your music, apps etc will transfer

Your photo's however will have to be imported with
iPhoto (on a mac)
Windows live Photo gallery or with in Windows Explorer (on a PC)

Senuti is now a paid application. So if you really want to retrieve all the music off your iPhone that may not have been purchased throughout the iTunes store Senuti is a good choice.

I'd recommend that from now on you use one computer to sync your iPhone.

Also on your old computer you may want to de authorise it in iTunes if you can't use the computer anymore or if you are not able to authorise the new computer.

1. Go to the store menu (at the top of iTunes)
2. Click de authorise this computer
(you will have to type in your iTunes ID and Password)

3.Click on the advanced menu (at the top of iTunes)
4. Click de authorise audible account
(you will again have to type in your iTunes ID and password)

Mac Photo editing apps?

I want to buy some kind of app through my mac app store that lets me type text onto my photos. Not just words but I want to be able to change the color and the tint etc. Also if there is one that includes extra editing and not ONLY text that would be great. Under $20 please!! :)

I've used photoscape with my pc before i got my mac and loved the text part. if you're familiar with that and there is a mac program similar that is what i prefer! :)

As a photographer and also doing photo restoration, I use both Photoshop and Aperture. I take it iPhoto doesn't meet your needs for editing.

Using one or the other is based upon usage. Do you shoot RAW? Do you use a DSLR? How much correction do you do? What type of correction do you do?

I don't know what you know about each software however, personally, I like that Aperture doesn't employ 2 apps as Photoshop does. I also don't use the devices app in Photoshop. However with the detail and amount of restoration I do, I prefer Photoshop. I do not, however, use Photoshop's Bridge, that organizes. Restorations are not integrated into Aperture, and I manage my photographs in Aperture in lieu of using vault.

I had the same problem before. It has got a simple solution. Connect your iPhone to the computer and start iTunes. Then click on your iPhone tab from the list on left panel. It will show the options related to the iPhone in the iTunes window. Select "Photos" button from the top bar where you see " Summary, Info, Apps, Music, TV Shows, Books and Photos" Buttons. Then uncheck the "Sync Photos From" option.
iTunes will ask to remove or don't remove pictures. Select remove picture. Then Click APPLY at the lower right corner. Thats it. Your are done deleting your Photo Library from your iPhone.

iPhone displays over 200,000 colors Storm is capable of displaying only 56,000 colors thats why picture look washed out on Storm.

Storm doesn't have Wi-Fi so you wont have any VoIP capabilities. You wont be able to use voice chatting using SKYPE.

I control 9 speakers in my house by my iPhone but you cant do it from a Storm. Planes are offering Wi-Fi onboard now so you can enjoy internet access even in flight on iPhone. Storm wont work.

On iphone , you can watch full length movie online but Storm is not capable of that. All you can watch on Storm is stale youtube like videos.

iTunes has over 6,000 wonderful apps for iPhone and the no is increasing with every passing day but Storm has hardly any app that can excite you.

On the other hand Storm is only capable of making calls anything else you do everything freezes up. It has jagged, choppy slow and pokey touch screen.
It brags about MMS. MMS is already dead technology who wants it when you can email pic to many people at the same time with one click or you can do "live photo streaming"

Everybody wears clothes it doesn't make any sense just to be different you walk naked all over the streets.
It's not just me all the reviewers are saying Storm is a disappointment.

The app supports Amazonâs standard featuresâcustomer reviews, â1-Click Shoppingâ and whatnotâas well as an intriguing new one. Called Amazon Remembers, it allows users to search for products theyâd like to purchase by photographing real-world products. Testing Amazon Remembers this morning, I snapped a picture of the Sonos Controller on my desk and, sure enough, about 10 minutes later Amazon (AMZN) let me know that it does offer that product for sale.

A neat little feature, although why anyone would actively use it is beyond me. Text searches on Amazon Mobileâand Amazonâs iPhone-optimized siteâare both easier and far, far faster. Why bother with the cumbersome âsnap photo-submit photo-wait for Amazon to identify product in photo and its availability and priceâ?

What this application is clearly lacking and, frankly, just begging for, is a barcode scanner and real-time price comparison function. That would make it a killer app, indeed. And Snappr has proven barcode scanning on the iPhone is possible. The device just needs an improved camera for it to workâ¦.

I love editing my photos & am looking for some new apps to use. I already have instagram,picfix,pixlromatic(free version),filtermania 2,& I just recently bought camera+. I've thought about getting vintique($.99) & snapseed($4.99),but I don't know if I'd enjoy them enough for how much their worth after I bought them. Anyone who uses those(or have used them)have any reviews? I've heard a lot of people like snapseed,but I wasn't sure I wanted to spend $5 on it if I wouldn't like it. What other photo editing apps are worth getting?

How do I transfer photos from iPhone to computer?

I want to know how I can transfer my photos onto the computer. I just want to get a way (like connecting the camera to the computer and opening up the file and then being able to get them all and then put them into a folder into the computer). I have an oldish computer and there are a few options for me to open up my photos. I put it on word document but when I try getting the photos out, it doesn't.
Can someone please tell me a way to get my photos EASILY and save them? I need to get those photos out of my phone and give it to my group. I just want to have photos in a folder rather than them in a word/ publisher document.

PS: Does the bluetooth on the iPhone work to get data from other cells? I know that it doesn't but my friend 'browsed' for other phones that had their bluetooth on and she got me. My bluetooth kept searching for 15 minutes and nothing worked!

2. Remove blemishes and marks.
3. Edit contrast, brightness, saturation etc.
4. Apply borders, merge two or more photos, collage creation etc.

Pictures can be deleted on your iPhone from the "Photos" app, excluding Photostream, assuming you have iOS% (the new software for iPhone) or iCloud (Everything in "the cloud"). Simply find the picture you want in the grid of photos, tap "Edit", then select the photos you want to delete by tapping them and pressing "Delete".

So I keep seeing people post picture collages on instagram where they have like up to 40 pictures in the collage, they're just really small. So I was wondering if anyone knew the name of the app that allows you to have a bunch of pictures in one collage. The phone itself is very easy to use - the only instructions you get with it is a two-sided leaflet which goes to show that you can be up and running on the phone instantly.

You can access multiple email accounts, including Microsoft Outlook for those looking to use this as a business phone.Access to the internet is gained through the Safari platform which, if you are on a good 3G network or hooked up to WiFi, is really quick and easy to use and the screen can be used in landscape as well as portrait. You can also make the pages bigger if you wish.

You have instant access to iTunes and songs that are downloaded are transferred automatically to the iPod which is also a feature - this is a dangerous little plus point, if like me, you hear a song in a pub after one too many and download it straightaway. It soon adds up!

The 3Gs model has a 3 megapixel camera which also allows you to shoot videos that can then be uploaded to YouTube.

There's an app for that

The jewel in the iPhone's crown is the App Store. Thousands of apps and games can be downloaded for free or for a price. Apple is pushing the boundaries with the App Store and is trying to prove that the iPhone can be used for absolutely anything. You can gain access to stores such as eBay and Amazon, PayPal has an app on offer where you are able to transact and manage your purchases as well as items you may have sold. You can search for restaurants in your area, check up-to-date cinema listings, train times, the weather forecast, the list goes on.

You also have access to the wide range of social networking sites available including numerous Twitter apps and also the extremely addictive Facebook app.

iPhone cons
The battery life leaves a lot to be desired. Apple claims that, on standby, the battery can last up to 300 hours, however, if you are buying a phone to leave it on standby then you really shouldn't be looking at the iPhone.

The camera could also be better. Even though you have a 3 megapixel camera, there is no flash, so if you want to take photos or videos in the dark then you really are stuck.

Safari is a great internet browser but Apple's refusal to let any of its devices support Flash means that you are limited at what you can view online which at times is very annoying.

There is no full Bluetooth capability except if you need to hook up to a handsfree device.
You cannot access the battery or, as a matter of fact, anything within the phone.

BlackBerry pros
Battery life is much better than the iPhone even though, like with the iPhone, you can choose to have your email and social network notifications permanently on.

The phone is not touchscreen, which many may see as a downside. However, touchscreen phones are notorious for being scratched or cracked easily and it can be expensive to have them fixed.

BlackBerries either have a trackball or trackpad which, even though not as quick as touchscreen, makes using them easy.

The email capabilities are more sophisticated than the iPhone: attachments are easily opened and you have the capability to edit excel and word docs. The QWERTY keyboard on the BlackBerry makes emailing quicker and easier than that of the iPhone touchscreen hence why this is still the phone of choice for people who need this function most.

Call quality is much clearer than on the iPhone especially if you need to use the handsfree function.

Sending texts and photos is also easy and quick, again this is down to the phone's keyboard. BlackBerry also has its own instant messaging service in which you can chat to your BlackBerry-owning friends for free.

The camera for the more up to date BlackBerry phones is good, most models are 3 megapixel. It also boasts the all important flash and photos are easily uploaded to Facebook and Twitter just as they are on the iPhone.

You can also play music on the BlackBerry and the more up-to-date models support iTunes music as well as other MP3s.

There is full Bluetooth capability with BlackBerry which makes sharing photos, documents and music a lot easier than with the iPhone.

BlackBerry cons
The browser on the BlackBerry isn't great but if you just need it for basic internet browsing then it is perfectly adequate.

BlackBerry App World isn't as extensive as App Store so for those app junkies the BlackBerry may be a bit of a let down, however you can still get the usual apps for BlackBerry like Facebook and Twitter - BlackBerry has just launched its official Twitter app which is very good. The push notifications for the two social network giants are also more sophisticated than those on the iPhone.

At the end of the day, it comes down to personal preference: if you want a fun device that lets you play games and offers quirky apps then the iPhone is for you. If however you want a phone that works as a phone then the BlackBerry is second to none especially for messaging and email.

Apple iPhone experts, help?

yesterday, I took my iPhone to this store to install some apps, it was synchronized with iTunes on it's machine.
my questions, should I be concerned that the guys working there can access the photos which I will be taking with my iPhone in the future?
it's not Apple Store, it is just a regular hardware store on the corner, and I'm concerned about future photos only, not the ones already on the phone.

The App Store? No one works in the App Store, it's all digital. Although Apple employees do monitor the App Store, but why would they need to look at your photos lol? Those guys can't access anything on your device, all they do is just check apps uploaded by developers (in case the app doesn't follow Apple's regulations).

So no, be assured that these guys won't check your photos. Although developers on the other hand, some might release an app that could access your photo gallery but that's very unlikely on the App Store (since Apple would remove it), the one that stays are for you to manage so you can upload them on to certain services (eg: Facebook).

A photo's printed quality when taken on an iphone is worse than that of one taken on a canon rebel. If i were to take a photo on my canon rebel, then edit it on my iPhone, would that change the quality from the canon quality to the iphone quality? So sorry if this doesn't make sense, it's kind of hard to explain. Anyhow, please help. :)

On the apps, you sometimes have the option to keep the file size to original. I assume you're just printing at the local store.. it will print out just fine. The iPhone prints poorly because the iPhone takes poor images to begin with.

just got it saturday and a little confused.
1st what do all the checks mean at the very top left corner mean?
2nd when i try to place a photo either online or as a contact it says it is disabled, how do i enable it?
3rd when i go to the htc welcome page it helps me set up an email account it says
exchange active sync and other (pop3/imap)
this is like a foriegn language to me, what does it mean?

1st.....checks mean you downloaded something and its completed like an apps or file
drag down the top bar and hit clear

2nd....not really sure what u r talking about? trying to add a picture to someone contact?? is it a contact made by you or did you pull it from facebook or twitter or else where.
you can only edit gmail or manually made contact, you cannot edit facebook or twitter contact.

3rd....that for if you want to setup email and get it on the phone, like aol or comcast.
just put your email and password and it will come to your phone.
