I bought an iPad and a wireless keyboard. But I want to buy a mini Mac and use my iPad as the sole monitor. I bought the iPad first. I don't own a computer already.

iPad can be used as an extended display but not as direct monitor.

If you have bought an iPad and you don't have computer then use iPad as computer. Buy camera connection kit so that you may connect camera and memory card to it to import photos and videos directly.
You can connect any camera,USB keyboard,memory card,Memory cards hub,USB headset and many other devices.

Get app GoodReader to download anything from website directly to an iPad.

If your works are not overly complicated , you actually don't need a computer. iPad is self sufficient.

You can buy music/ video/ apps directly from an iPad. You can even download music/ video directly from any website. if you get app like Downloader and GoodReader.

Get app Pages,Number and Keynote ifnyou want to create Word document,spreadsheet and presentation.

Photogene photo editing app is better any free software on PC.

iMovie is on it's way for video editing but for the time being you can get Reldirector


You can watch movies on Netflix using your new or existing netflix account. All the latest TV shows from Abc channel are available for free on iPad. Today I watched The Gates.

TV shows from CBS is also available.


If you wanna fill a form and then sign and for thatcyou need print out, get app Zosh, it lets you fill out the form and then sign by the finger so you don't need a print out.

But if you need to print then , then. You need to get Wi-Fi printer and App Print n Share and then you can print any document directly from iPad.

iPad can pretty much do everything that a regular user would do on laptop on daily basis.
