What photo editor should I use for this?

Okayy so I was wondering of anyone knew about a good photo editing app for the iPhone of even the computer. I prefer an app for the iPhone but anything will do. I need to put a picture in the background of another picture but I want it to be faint. If that makes any sense..haha but thanks to whoever tries to help! (: x

It's unlikely you'll find a phone app for that. Most are just simple editors. What you need is an image editor that supports layers. And you are only going to get that on a computer with a program specially made to do it.

You would be better doing it on a computer. You could do it with GIMP - a free image editor http://www.gimp.org

Open your first image in GIMP (hint: file > open). Then open the next image as a layer above the other photo (hint: file > open as layers). Then reduce the opacity of the top layer by adjusting the opacity slider in the layers dialog. If you want to take away the background from the top layer, you could use the eraser tool.

If you wanted to extract the top layer from it's background accurately you could use a layer mask instead.
