How many GB do the standard apps take up on a iphone4?

When you get a new iphone,the apps which are already installed ie,camera,calendar,etc how may Gb should they take up?I have the 16gb phone but nearly 6 are already taken up,obviously i know they are the most important things on the phone but 6gb seemed alot,cheers

6 GB that is already in use is a bit much indeed, Was this a brand new phone straight from apple?

If there is nothing really urgent on the phone then I suggest you restore it as a new iPhone through iTunes. Just open top iTunes on your mac or windows machine, plug your phone in. select your phone in the left sidebar and on the main screen click restore so it will wipe all data and reinstall the firmware.

Make sure you backup your photos and or contacts first!!

How do I sync my iPhone to a new computer without everything being erased?

My old PC died. I am trying to sync my iPhone 3GS with a new laptop. When I go to sync it, it prompts me to erase my iPhone and replace the data with that on the new computer- thus losing music, videos, photos, apps, etc. I am sure this must be a widespread problem. Please help me! BTW...I am not computer savvy.

Well there is a program that Apple offers called "home sharing" It allows you to Sync your iPhone/iPod to up tp five computers at a time! I am not sure if you need your old computer for it to work though...
