photo editing apps with hearts image

Rachel

I need some cool photo editing apps. I like to use a picture for the background and type stuff (such as lyrics or quotes) and maybe templates like triangles or hearts or something. Thanks(:

Citrify, iPiccy, PicMonkey, Ribbet, Picadilo, Fotor, FotoFlexer or Lunapic are great all round web based and FREE editing tools. Adobe, makers of the expensive Photoshop, has a free website version in Photoshop Express. If you are a former Picnik user than Picmonkey and Ribbet will be your best choices.

If you need/want more features downloading GIMP is a great options. Still free, but you have to download the software.

I am either going to get an iPhone 3GS or an iPhone 4...which should I get?

If cost werent a factor, I would go with the iPhone 4, but it is an issue. I am eligible for an upgrade and can get an iPhone 3GS for $100 or an iPhone 4 for $200. Is the iPhone 4 enough better than the iPhone 3GS to merit costing double? Please tell me which you would get and why.

I'm in the same situation, so I'll give you a rundown of the things that I've come up with to slow my beating heart every time I see a picture of a 4...

First of all, I realized that some of the features being touted for the 4 were actually features of the new OS that will change everyone's iPhones (for the most part) anyway. Multitasking, for example, will be available for the 3GS. Likewise the digital zoom and iBooks. And Folders. Aaand the unified email inbox... The more I poked around the more I realized that the 4 must not be a fully realized device, yet, just like bluetooth in the 3G and 3Gs that was unlocked by an OS update, so for the most part the 3GS and the 4 are on fairly equal footing.

Then the super-duper camera comes up. I'm extremely satisfied with the camera that came with my 3G. I hated it at first, but then for a grand total of $10 I purchased some apps (legitimately, from the App Store) that turns it into a 5mpx with a 4x digital zoom and video recording, video editing, and a photo-editor with a decent flash process to make up for the lack of an actual flash on the phone. And I have an actual digital camera right now for those super-important occasions that I still use anyway.

Finally, FaceTime (video calling) is the big star here, right? Well, once I dug around I discovered that FaceTime is only from one iPhone 4 to another iPhone 4 over wi-fi. So I started to wonder why this was the case, and realized that our 3G networks are so overburdened that there was no way AT&T could support video calling. Even if someone releases an app that will let you Skype from the 4, it will only be over wifi. Basically I'll have a handset that really isn't fully functional for another couple of years.

The thing that I really really want is that retina display, and then a little voice in the back of my head somewhere whispered that if they could get a retina display on the next *iPad,* wouldn't THAT be a thing of beauty?

So right now at this moment, yes, I think the iPhone is worth the money, you do after all get a longer-lasting battery, faster processing, and a better camera (two better cameras, in fact!) but you'll have to wait a while yet for it to be the device it really should be. And by then the warranty will be up, LOL!
