good photo editing apps mac image

BB
I'm an amateur photographer and i need some editing programs for my new mac. I am looking for something with pre made filters you can just click and your photo turns into that filter and something that you can manually touch up with brightness contrast saturation etc.
Less than $20 PLEASE!
Thanks!

What Is a photo editing software that works like the mac book's?

Gabby
I need a photo editing software for free that works like the mac books. The mac book has a beautiful editing software. Unfortunately I do not have the mac book. I have an Acer. So what is a good Editing Software. So you can do things like personality pictures. I do not like photoshop that much because i don't understand it. Thank you for your help.

There are a number of free image editors out there, both applications and web-based. Each of these is free and has a varying degree of power (and learning curve).
-=+ Web-based +=-
Aviary - http://www.aviary.com/
- Probably my favorite of the online ones
Picnik - http://www.picnik.com/
- Some folks tend to prefer this to Aviary
Sumo Paint - http://www.sumopaint.com/home/
- I use this occasionally, it's got some tools that I like over Aviary
Pixlr - http://pixlr.com/
- Another alternative that might be a little easier to use
Photoshop Express - http://www.photoshop.com/tools?wf=editor
- It's simplified and the UI is significantly different than the Photoshop program. It's not my personal favorite, but it might be worth you checking out.
-=+ Installable Apps +=-
Photoscape - http://www.photoscape.org/ps/main/index.php
- The download link is along the top of the page (I missed it the first time)
Paint.NET - http://www.getpaint.net/
- Paint.NET tries to be relatively simple while providing a fairly powerful toolset. It isn't quite as powerful as Photoshop, but its a) free, and b) has slightly less of a learning curve.
GIMP - http://www.gimp.org/
- I'm mentioning it because it's more or less obligatory. Honestly, though, if you found Photoshop too confusing, I'd steer you away from GIMP for now. It's easily the most powerful free image editor, but it's got a _very_ steep learning curve. Feel free to try it, but I'd really point you towards one of the online ones to begin with.
