Answer
The iPhone is all about the apps. There are now thousands of apps available for download and I'm sure you can find some that fit your interests. You can access the apps store from your iPhone or from iTunes.
Some of my favorites:
Midomi - Got a song stuck in your head? Don't know what the title is or who sings it? Hum it into your iPhone and midomi will get you the information.
Shazaam - Like Midomi, but better recognition of actual songs as they are recorded. Stick your iphone up to the radio speaker and Shazaam will figure out what song it is.
AroundMe - Useful app that gives you a list of stuff things near your current location. Makes use of GPS.
Ocarina - Turn your iPhone into a musical instrument for only $0.99! This is one of the best virtual instrument apps out there, and you play it by blowing into the mic.
Facebook - Access facebook and do quick updates from your iPhone. Upload photos in the blink of an eye.
Fieldrunners - A fun little tower defense game.
Tap Defense - Another fun little tower defense game, this one is free.
iPint - Drink a frosty glass of beer.
Kotoba! - I live in Japan and as such make frequent use of this excellent Japanese <-> English dictionary.

what should i buy? Ipod touch or an DSi?

i'm thinking of buying an Ipod Touch or an Nintendo DSi. i'm kind of looking for a music player with internet capabilities. but then there would be times i would like to game on it. please help! Thanks in advance!
Answer
If the internet browsing and multimedia features are your preferences, get the touch. DSi has minimal support for music and photos, and if the Opera web browser for Wii and DS are any indication, iPod touch's Safari trumps them both. It runs better, smoother, and has better plugin support. Simply one of the best mobile browsers out there.
The touch will also serve you much more use thN the DSi, I gaurantee it. Just take a look at the iTunes Store App section to see the incredibly wide selection of widgets and games, ranging from electronic dictionaries (I have an incredibly useful Japanese-English Dictionary on mine) and mobile website apps
(an increasing number of sites, including
Amazon, hotmail, google, USAToday, and
myspace are releasing apps or making mobile
versions of their sites that allow you to
browse their sites quickly and easily.
The game market for iphone/ipod touch is still
very young, with only a relative handful of
truely awesome games separated from the
junk, but its rapidly growing, and even some
big name companies such as EA are
beginning to take notice.
Overall, I see little reason to consider a DSi over a touch, as the patter trumps the other in nearly all comparable areas.
