I have an iphone 3G, and i want to know what are some fun apps. I'm 17, and i let my little cousins play with my phone a lot but i dont have any games really.

What is this photo effect?

I have been seeing it on a lot of iPhone photos lately, esp. on Instagram. It causes the colors to be very bright while creating pretty extreme contrast between the shadows and highlights. It's hard to explain and I don't have a photograph; it's almost like HDR, but I have found that a lot of the iPhone apps for HDR wash out a lot of the color and add way too much grain. If anyone could figure out this effect that would be awesome!

Actually it is HDR. Try using A-HDR app. It lets you select the contrast, saturation, also has a noise reduction option.
