i'm thinking of buying an Ipod Touch or an Nintendo DSi. i'm kind of looking for a music player with internet capabilities. but then there would be times i would like to game on it. please help! Thanks in advance!
Answer
If the internet browsing and multimedia features are your preferences, get the touch. DSi has minimal support for music and photos, and if the Opera web browser for Wii and DS are any indication, iPod touch's Safari trumps them both. It runs better, smoother, and has better plugin support. Simply one of the best mobile browsers out there.
The touch will also serve you much more use thN the DSi, I gaurantee it. Just take a look at the iTunes Store App section to see the incredibly wide selection of widgets and games, ranging from electronic dictionaries (I have an incredibly useful Japanese-English Dictionary on mine) and mobile website apps
(an increasing number of sites, including
Amazon, hotmail, google, USAToday, and
myspace are releasing apps or making mobile
versions of their sites that allow you to
browse their sites quickly and easily.
The game market for iphone/ipod touch is still
very young, with only a relative handful of
truely awesome games separated from the
junk, but its rapidly growing, and even some
big name companies such as EA are
beginning to take notice.
Overall, I see little reason to consider a DSi over a touch, as the patter trumps the other in nearly all comparable areas.

best apple product for apps?

Keith Rich
I want a device that can support Apple apps but do not care about other features. Specifically I want to be able to use the Midori and Kotoba Japanese learning apps so what would be the cheapest device to purchase be? I am aware of the ipad, iphone and ipod touch are all of these ok? Remember I do not want it for anything else really.
Thanks
Answer
The iPad, iPod touch, and iPhone are all suited to the apps that you are interested in.
The cheapest of them is the iPod Touch. It is available in several sizes (storage size), if you do not need a great amount of storage for other things like photos, vids, music etc, you could buy the iPod with the smallest amount of storage.
Where I come from, this model is about $200.
