Q. Im gonna get the iPhone 4, but I'm getting second thoughts of whether I should wait to get the 5 instead

At the moment there are no physical differences that are brought out in the news; the software would be different though. There are rumours of a better camera for both the front and the back, and a new casing, but those are simply rumours.
Based on the beta versions of the software:
Firstly, iOS5 should be faster and should be able to acommodate a new "notifications" bar that can be dragged down (much like Android) rather than have blobs/bubbles pop up as notifications (e.g. when messages pop up)
Secondly, it should be able to customise your messaging between iDevices (e.g. between iPhone and iPad)
Thirdly, new apps such as a newsstand app (for newspaper/magazine subscriptions) and a remind-me app for checklisting, and updated apps such as the calendar and mail apps
Fourthly, there should be new wireless syncing with the iCloud (no need to own a computer to use your iDevice)
Fifthly there would be full facebook and twitter support throughout the phone
Lastly (I think) the camera app should integrate with the photo app and have editing options, as well as allow taking pictures with the volume buttons.

What are the pros and cons of an ipod touch?

I want to know if i should get an ipod touch they look really cool and i love the apps you can put on it. But my dad says i shouldn't because he says i will get bored with it to quickly and it will just go to waste. How can i convince him its what I want to buy and that it's a really great product.
